1. listening to Beethoven's Archduke Trio on the radio as I write this.
2. off to the new Farmers' Market in Ulverstone.

Creme fraiche recipe please - I love it!!!
It's our 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday
I'm in Paris and today we are going to the George Braque exhibition at the Grand Palais
Eating in a two star restaurant last night and not eating the dessert (ordered one as a 'treat') because I could not bear the sweet taste
Great thread and very timely for me - life has been stressful lately and I've been a bit low. Came across this phrase recently - Too blessed to be stressed. I really think that about my life but sometimes have to remind myself.

My three are:

- Having lunch with some dear friends tomorrow - always a blast.
- Having a good hair week - I LIKE my hair (doesn't happen that often!)
- Inspector Montalbano (the grown up one) is back on TV.

- that I still have 6 girlfriends from high school ( you can really be yourself with friends you went through puberty with 30 years ago.) But one of those friends is my best friend I have known since i was 5 - 40 years ago-the most authentic, funny, kind beautiful person I know.

 so true julianna about having lifelong friends. Hubby and I still socialise and go on holiday with my friend I first met in the Brownies 58 years ago. We've been there for each other as we grew up and are as close as sisters
Ooooh lovely.
1) whole family meeting up to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday.
2) OH, all my step/children and step/ grandchildren.
3) having a house and enough to eat and get around a bit.
This is a great idea ..thanks Cally.
! Lovely to hear everyone's reasons and to learn a bit more about their lives! X
Things I am thankful for:

1. Families and Friends, and I am truly thankful I get along with all my family.

2. Music - I just started playing bass clarinet after a 35 year absence from playing an instrument of any kind (I played percussion and sax in my younger years). I joined the New Horizon Band, an organization that takes all levels from never ever played an instrument on up.

3. My eyesight - I LOVE to read!
Great thread.
1 My husband , 5 Children and 10 grandchildren.
2The pleasure I get from listening to music
3Ski-ing and ice skating Back on Eurosport for the winter and long dark nights when I don't have a conscience about sitting watching them.
Great thread, interesting reading, thank you

1. My husband - coming up for 33 years together (some ups and very low downs) - but all sorted and we love each other very much and are very happy together.
2. My 3 grown children - nice, decent human beings
3. The rest of my family and friends

I am an exceptionally lucky lady..... and I know it and appreciate it.
hi everyone

just seen this post lol so sorry am a little late! lovely idea this, though I am not as cheerful as I would love to be at the moment :-(
but I can find 3 reasons to be all the same :-)

1) first xmas with my great niece who is one month old and absolutely gorgeous :-)
2) grateful to my 2 doggies for keeping me fit each day hehe
3) looking forward to meeting up with CandiceMarie from the forum next month!

I am smiling now :-)
1. Time to light the wood burner in the evenings
2. My new book arrived, latest in a very long read and I read all the other 34 books before the new one.
3. My lovely cat who has been so ill has turned the corner. I won't know until the next blood test if she is cured but she is eating again.

So glad about yr cat Bob
And your other two reasons sound so cosy ...just right for the long dark evenings! X
Not in any specific order:
* My oldest son (17) will come home Friday or Saturday for fall leave. He goes to school 180km south of here and even though he has been ther for over a year now, I still suffer from empty nest syndrome.
* My youngest son (14) who has teenage mood swings, but not very often. He's a sweet loving caring guy, unusually so for being 1) male and 2) in that age.
* I will fulfill one of my dreams next week and will traveling far without my family. More about that later.
Must post a forth reason:
*The DH - not only can he do it all (electricity, plumbing, construction, building, car things, MC things), he earns enough money in his daytime job to send me to.....
More about that later
