Just a normal wet and windy day here in Cornwall so far. We are used to plenty of 'weather' in Britain, we'll cope somehow however bad - or not.

Very windy here. Been over to see my brother run in the Great South Run in Portsmouth. Got some supplies in so we don't have to leave the house again. Hubby's just worried about the carport!

take care everyone!
Depending on how far into France you are going, you might not be so lucky because according to this article, the storm is expected to hit the north of France at the same time as it hits the south of England and Wales. If you go further south into France though, you should be fine.

It's grey here in London at the mo, I'm hoping it doesn't hit until tomorrow here. My boyfriend is travelling down on the coach overnight and I'm worried about him being out in it. Hopefully it's nowhere near as bad as they are predicting. Stay safe everyone xx
It will be interesting to see the updates on this thread tomorrow, keep safe everyone.

I am really worried as my daughter and her partner are driving from Alton towers to Plymouth this evening and then down to here late tonight/early hours of the morning. They've promised to drive slowly, but I am still nervous
Safe journey for yr family Karen x keep warm ! X

Take care @angie and niece
Looking forward to seeing you saturday x
I am in Lower normandy and it has been blowing since last night. It is now very windy with heavy rain. Hope it clears before I cross the channel on Tuesday.
It's almost like the calm before the storm in Southampton, been very gusty most of the day, now it's calmed right down, heavy rain though.
The wind and rain have definitely picked up down here
I wonder if it will be as bad as the Great Storm of 1987.
Keep safe everyone.
Keep safe everyone.
I remember the storm of 1987 and the absolute chaos that ensued. It happened just before I left the UK. It was quite sad how the country could not cope with a single short-lived storm. I hope this one will be less of a disaster as there has been a bit of warning, but I'm glad not to hold my breath over that.
Hope you all come through unscathed!
Hope you all come through unscathed!
The wind had died down now
Take good care of yourselves with the storms up there
