I've gone down from a 16-18 to 10-12 on 5:2. Ive never been less than a size 16 in my adult life. Having weight go up and down all my life, I can't get rid of the bigger clothes - just in case.
I have two pairs of jeans that are tiny, and my goal is to fit into them. I bought them about a couple years ago when I worked hard to get thin. I could not stay that thin. Ended up going back to my normal eating. But the plan is to fit into them again and stay that size. I'm sure I can with the 5:2 diet. It has allowed me a new level of control over my eating. This is the best diet ever!
This pair of trousers is like a fetish. I have managed to wear it a few times in the past but it never lasted for too long. But now I think that it's different...
I've got 'dressing up' clothes which I would lke to wear on a cruise starting on May 1st. Just a few pounds to go!
You've got more than a month, I'm sure you'll make it!!!
I have succumbed to retail therapy with the Viyella sale on line. So two size 16 jackets, one skirt to match one jacket ( I haven't worn a skirt in years because they hang so badly on my overweight shape ) & a pair of trousers. They are helping my motivation to get into them in due course & I don't feel guilty because they didn't cost much & friends or a charity shop will benefit when I get smaller ( positive thinking!). When I got married I was a size 10/12 ( old sizing because I'm sure clothing sizes have increased from the 70's?) so I am aiming to at least be back in size 12s again. But a long way to go probably at least another year of 5:2ing before going onto maintenance.
I have really enjoyed reading all your posts & progress.
BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got in a size 10 pair of jeans yesterday!!!
And I didn't have to lie down to button it up!!!
I know I still have 5 kilos to the size 8 skinny ones but it felt good.

I don't know your progress so far but I have a feeling that it will take you less than a year to hit size 12!
I have an amazing coat that I loved and picked up in a sale. Unfortunately the lower half of my body is where all the fat goes :/, and as a result my bum is a bit too big (I'm male with bad genetics that means I put most of my weight on in the lower half of my body). Would love to be able to fit perfectly into it, and have my eye on some jeans that I want but can't justify buying them while trying to cut down my weight.
I have a set of clothes that used to fit me beautifully (ah, hum, 7 years ago!). I gave them to my teenage daughter who wore them for a few years and those that still look like new and she is bored of or has out grown, I have put to one side...it's now a race to see who can get into them first; me (shrinking) or my 9 year old daughter (growing up)....I'm determined to beat her. Hey, I have about 2 or three years to get there!
I have a lot of wonderful size 10-12 clothes that used to fit me very well until about 18-20 months ago.I haven't got rid of them and I am sure I will fit into them this year :)
I have two huuge bags - my wardrobe is skinny and fat at the moment and I want to git rid of one of them. Know which?
Most of my wardrobe! I have a couple of pairs of jeans and work trews that I can squeeze into and I'm far too bloody minded to buy anything new! If i can lose half a stone, it will b like having a whole new wardrobe for free! If i lost a stone, i might even get some new clothes. But i am trying not to get my hopes up due to history of yo-yo weight gain.
That said, I really love those coloured jeans in the shops!
I've just bought an outfit for BiL's 50th off the hook in Asda...last of the big spenders, me.

Going to have to take the trousers back as they are too big, which means I should be able to dig out the size 16 jeans I've kept for years as they were a) new and b) a good cut for me. Yay!
toolilac I love the word trews. It reminds me of my Scottish grandmother's vocabulary.
