Yeah I've got my everyday (easy fit) section,
my sometimes (slim day) section,
and my not a chance (cant sit down in, daren't sit down in...yet!)section
I'm actually in need of buying some new smaller sized jeans. All of my trousers fall down without a belt. Im back to my pre-pregnancy weight at 8st. I do have a couple of pairs of trousers that i was wearing before i was married when i was about 7.5 stone which are tighter on me but i can't wear them now as they give me muffin top :( They sit quite low on the hips ( back when i was a skinny student ) and my stomach is all stretched out and flappy and wrinkly skin now from 2 pregnancies ( it's horrendous, i hate it ) so i have to wear trousers which sit higher up at my belly button to cover my stomach as much as possible. Im hoping the skin will eventually unstreach and smooth itself out, maybe that's wishful thinking and no possible without a tummy tuck??? No way i'd get any surgery though. Is it possible to get my nice stomach back just from loosing more weight? Anyone know?
Hi Demi, Have you tried Pilates? it strengthens your core muscles, when done right it really works...hurts a bit though :?
Ah, i think i'v got a Pilates dvd at my mum's house! Should get it back from her. I'v tried excise dvd's before though and i always end up doing them for a few weeks then giving up, so i decided never to buy any more. I just try to keep generally active doing house work, walking to the supermarket, walking round the center or to the park with the kids ect. But walking does nothing to tone your stomach. I'll have a look online for some Pilates excersises, they'll probably have them on youtube, then i don't have to waste money on dvd's im not going to use!
Jacquiann - that's awesome! Wow!

I have a leather mini skirt from when I was 20 that I've never had the heart to throw out.
I gave up on diets of all kinds a few years ago, had some nice stuff, gave it all to a charity shop. So, when the happy day arrives I will have to buy some.
Same as Bee. In fact, I am deliberately avoiding clothes shopping despite many of my clothes looking pretty baggy now. I don't want to buy new clothes only to shrink out of them! I may, however, buy myself some kind of outfit as a treat when I reach the halfway mark (another 3kg).
Hi, I'm new to 5.2- the forum and the diet (3rd week now) and have been wanting to "post" but felt too shy! This is the first post that made me want to join in. My wardrobe is full of clothes in all sizes from 14 to 20 and I have yo-yoed for years. :( This is the first way of eating that has felt right from the time I saw the Horizon programme last year till finally buckling down and getting started. I intend to do this for the rest of my life and hopefully get to maintenance some day. Am trying not to weigh for a week or so as I don't want to be put off by lack of weight loss. Hope to throw away (give to charity shop) all the clothes that get too small, size by size.
I have a box of assorted jeans/trousers that I really love and have never been able to get rid of, but they have been too small for a while...I'm hoping I can open the box and try them on soon but I'm biding my time until I try them so I don't spoil the moment, a few pounds still to go! And I realised this morning that as it's my 20th wedding anniversary this summer, I should be at my wedding day weight by then so I could try on "the dress" again!
Virgina, that's hilairious, But i can totally relate.

Down the years when friends have had unexpected sleep-overs,
I've been able to offer them a change of clothes.
We've often laughed over me asking "What size do you take 10,12,14?"

As im back in a couple of 12's now, I'm really hoping to banish the 14's from my shop forever.
And those 10's that i never really believed i'd get back into.
Well that was before 5:2 so watch this space ........ :)
I have two lovely summer dresses that I have kept for years, and after reading this thread, I decided to try them on. They both fit - in fact one is a tad loose. I can't believe that I may be unable to wear them because they are too big by the time summer comes. I also have a ring, OK, I know it's not clothes, but I have not been able to get the ring onto my finger for years, and now I can - it is a bit tight, but it goes on, which is wonderful.
I am getting weighed and measured tomorrow as part of the mass weigh in, so I'm feeling quite hopeful.
Oh, on the subject of rings, my wedding ring is really loose now and often falls off my finger! May have to get it tightened. With both of my pregnancies i put on way too much weight and ended up having to take my ring off as it was cutting off the circulation on my finger. I'v just started 5:2 though and my weight loss was just natural though breastfeeding alone. This is the first time i'v tried to diet as i stopped loosing weight for the past 3 or 4 months now. But i'v lost 3lbs since starting 5:2 and im fasting today so will weigh in tomorrow and im expecting to have lost another pound or maybe 2 :)
Izbiz - my wedding dresss lived in the loft in its pronuptia box and when we converted the loft about four years ago I was going to throw it in the skip. My Mam was horrified and said I couldnt throw all that silk away so we brought it down and my 14 year old 7.5 stone daughter put it on over her clothes and it wouldnt do up! I must have been amazingly slim then (1989!)
A couple of years ago my two skinny daughters took up sailing (dinghy class). Last year instead of just helping launch boats and derigging them and with a bit of persuasion from one of the organizers I started to learn to sail. This meant I needed to wear a wetsuit. I bought myself a cheap one, in case I didn't get into the sailing, which doesn't fit very well and needless to say I really did look like a beached whale. I LOVE sailing - the season starts mid April and finishes end September and at some point I want to be wearing a smaller better fitting wetsuit.
Very happy to report I'm back in 2 pairs of trousers I'd given up on ever being able to get on again. They're size L so guessing 16/18 instead of my XL 20/22. Woohoo!
