Thank you all you lovely people. Maybe I'll pop a tissue in my own bra, the right one needs padding out

Doh, thought I posted a reply, but it's gone!

Thank you so much everyone. Maybe I'll stick a tissue in my own bra, not a bad place for it.

I hope it goes smoothly today Sweedy. We've been to 3 funerals this year and we lost a dear friend yesterday. Sad times.

We can never imagine how we will feel on these occasions throughout our lives, and many bring up other memories and emotions. Just know that you are not alone, and there is always someone to talk too. x

It's one of those things in life that you can't go around, you just have to go through....and you will....and we'll all be thinking of you.

Big hug on it's way. I lost my mother, a couple of years ago and a few weeks later was shocked to see 24 cartons of ice cream in my freezer! It was all I was eating at the time so I understand what sadness does to a person.

It sucks, doesn't it? Give yourself time, it's not easy to function when you are sad.
Sending all my positive thoughts and love your way!!!

Funerals are not fun, but the wake can be. the release of emotion followed by excessive eating and drinking and socialising with people you hardly see can be quite therapeutic.

if you do stick a tissue down your bra, don't wear a high necked top unless you want some funny looks when you try to extract it!

Dear Swedey,
I'm so sorry to hear your news, especially as it is bringing back difficult and painful memories of your mother. Complicated mother/daughter relationships can be agonisingly painful. Take care of yourself
