All this lovely talk is making me ache ! Patience jane, patience. Not long til June and the great green outdoors ...
Janeg - will probably be very green with all the rain - lol! Just off out now, with fleece, waterproofs , but no anti midge stuff - lol!
I lived in Shetland for a long time, so the weather really didn't stop me doing anything- I would have done sweet FA if that had been the case, so this makes the heat stopping me doing things even harder to bare. (is that the correct bare/bear? hmmm)
Although having to change from the knickers out from a 'quick' dog walk in the driving rain for the third time in one day did get a bit tiresome. *gets teary at the thought* sniff. And the wind kept the midges away

I'm with you on the weather stopping you from doing things. I mean I find it much easier to be active in the cold and wet than in the heat. Would not survive summer here in NSW without air conditioning and a swimming pool.

Porridge with milk or water, salt or no salt
Thats my theory, big breakfast and then long walk, maybe coffee and scone mid afternoon and a very light evening meal with an evening stroll, hopefully enough excercise to 'use up' the breakfast! If it isn't what the hell, it's a holiday, will soon lose the odd pound or two
Hopefully that works out in practice, still determined not to drink other than Friday Saturday nights though!
Old Nog it's got to be porridge oats with salt cooked with water, milk added on top!
... And this morning in Aberfeldy, a tot of whiskey
Whiskey...yuk, I know but give me Brandy any day. Are you enjoying this dreech weather Silverdarling. I have to say that there is nothing more uplifting than a brisk walk in the rain.
Doodle, I was born and married in Perth....I guess there is only one one thing left for me to do in Perth
Nessie, where abouts up Loch Ness are you?

Wildmissus - was not as dreech up here as back down in Newcastle (according to my friends on facebook) - anyway, enjoyed a walk in the rain from the car to House of Bruar -
Also discovered a wonderful bookshop / gallery / cafe called the Watermill back in Aberfeldy, where I spent the afternoon nose in several books , then followed this with a BIG slice of coffee and walnut cake in the cafe
(moral: this is what happens in dreech weather never mind, tomorrow is another day )

Janeg - this is what you are missing - Aberfeldy now this morning not!
And then - Friday evening!
And then - Friday evening!
Siverdarling, as we say here "If you don't like the weather just wait five minutes!"
*sings* four seasons in one day...
I love weather- it doesn't really change here. I love getting up in the morning and looking out the window to see what the next five minutes will bring
And hills/mountains....
and trees....
and the sea..../water
thanks for posting those - looks lovely. Don't know Aberfeldy well at all.

Janeg - it is lovely, even in weather like this. Lots of 'wee hooses' with lovely gables just like you see in the picture ... And I can actually hear the famous Birks of Aberfeldy waterfalls from my room, as they are just a few yards behind the b n b! (Rather loud now cos of all the rain last night!)
*rushes to the loo* - it's a fast day and the fluid consumption is up again- like the rain!
sounds idyllic
