We here in the desert southwest would kill for a cool breeze.

Oh to be in the south of France with  Ballerina, the epilator and a lot of good wine--cute waiters too! Actually that sounds really kinky!
Bordergirl, you can have as much of our chilly breeze as you want  it's straight off the North Sea, from the east (and Siberia) and if we're really unlucky we get a sea fret too - that's a wall of mist or fog that just hugs the coastal area, while 2 miles inland, bright hot sun! That's the disadvantage of living near the east coast of England
Ballerina, please PM me with the preferred method of torture.
I have several late payers waiting for 'le shave'.
Epilators are great! Yes, they pull the hair out by the root, but so does waxing, and at least they don't pull a layer of skin off at the same time!

But wouldn't it be better to have the old skin gone revealing new younger fresh skin? I'll just stick to the razor for now.
I'm sticking to the razor for my legs and underarms but I love the epilator for the bikini area and my lower arms.

It would, you're right. But I can gently exfoliate for that and not rip it off with hot wax!

Each to their own.
Chic women? In France?? I didn't see anyone remotely chic today, they must all be in the South!

I must be becoming French as I use an epilator too when I can brave it, it never occurred to me to have a few drinks first though, I must try that next time...

Cripes, I had noticed that I rarely need to shave now, but I didn't realise that was why
Laser hair removal is all the rage here atm and hurts like hell for a moment when they are doing it. Will take wine and French waiters to the salon for my next appointment!

Highly recommend a gin and tonic (or three). Sup enough G&T and it gets rid of worms too - oh the joys of living in the tropics. Back in bonnie Scotland the hairy bits are not really an issue as the tights / trews / leggings only come off for a few days a year :)
Well that was fun,had a good few laughs girls. The things we do :)
Thanks Fatdog, I didnt know that gin was good for worms!! Would happily epilate it it meant I was in the south of France.
Julie, it would not matter to me where in the world I was, using an epilator without at least an epidural, a full anasthetic, a raft of life saving good samaratins, having the 'last rites' administered, a complete station of hunky fire fighters at the ready to give me mouth to mouth (or something equally invigorating!) AND 2 or 3 stiff drinks first is a definite NO NO!

Just off for a swim but will be back later with todays update of nonsense in Paradise,

Ballerina x

P.S. on second thoughts, I feel sure I could manage just with the fire fighters
I managed to get the day off to a good start without the aid stiff drinks or hunky firemen, I just got on with the usual routine, open eyes, close eyes, swim, shower, shave legs without bloodshot, screams or any of the other nightmares that usually accompany such bucolic pastimes. Having got him indoors ready for the day ahead, it was then my turn, and it was much less noisy as I'm made of sterner stuff. The weather here was rather less paradise, more dark side of the moon, but we are not easily put off, we live in the midlands for goodness sake.

Lovely ramble round the Sunday market, strange isn't it, tat is tat no matter how exotic it's origin, stil,l a change is as good as a rest. Fabulous lunch whilst we watched folk trying to avoid the rain, that's always entertaining, then home for siesta. Speaking of which, yawn, I'll see you all later,

Ballerina x zzzzzzz :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:
