I just reread that (a) I made this list and (b) have been sharing it lately -- I'm nuts! LOL
Please don't ever take British toilet paper if you are staying somewhere with a septic tank (most gites in the countryside don't have mains drainage.) It blocks up the system!
Where are you going in France, Penny? Here in Brittany you will definitely need a fleece and waterproof clothing at the moment:(
janeg's list;
thermal semmit
steelies
skidlid
rigging knickers
clean knickers
toothbrush
passport
coffee and drinkie catefiere
leatherman
money
bowl avec de l'eau pur le wet poisson
and probably some other nonsense...

sorry, not really helpful but the adaptar plug mentioned is tres useful
Tracie, I'm thinking you like black? (black pants, black jeggings, black capris, black t shirts x 3, black shirt, black cardigan x 2, black shoes, black scarf, black coat). Don't get lost in a coal cellar!
Credit card. And tea bags.
I actually don't think it's silly to share your list as I like those sorts of things. You look pretty organised.
And you remembered to take us, e.g. iPad tracieknits. Pennyforthem them you too with laptop. So Swedey do we get a look in ;)

Lol... Brittany!!

We are experienced travellers to France, but hub is a measure twice, cut once sort of guy, so he needs all his clothes (just in case)
I think I have most bases covered, from tea bags to bacon and Asian gourmet spice pastes to Weetabix!
Goretex is also in, and I have just added a fleece to the packing! Merci, Franglaise!
Carorees, I was a goth in my teen years >.< I try to incorporate one item of color every day, especially if it's hot pink. I have a knockoff alexander mcqueen skull scarf in black and pink that I adore. But I'm most often in jeans and a black t-shirt. But only one cardi is black, they other is grey! I was planning on buying a few colorful scarves.

Oh, and my hair is more purpley auburn now too, I'll try to remember to take a photo. So there's a daily smack of color.

THANK YOU for this! I had no idea. We are going to France in the school holidays staying in a Siblu holiday parc, and loo roll was on my list of things to take. I'll just pick some up from the supermarché instead ;)

Black and hot pink is an excellent combination IMHO!
