Have I waxed lyrical about the iPhone 5 dictation app yet? In case anyone was wondering how I manage to post so much, that's how. This thing is amazing! But as amazing as it is, I am noticing a lot of typos in old posts.

Get well, gentle hugs to you both. I hope your both up and at it as soon as you can be.
Blimey, a pair of matching book ends I hope you both fare well and get over your injuries as quickly as possible and Pete, ah what a shame missing out on swimming on your holiday, never mind, you will just have to go back again when you are in better nick and Mary Ann, hope you are up and about soon and back home. Hubs has the iphone 5 with the same app and it is very good although it is rather disconcerting to find him dictating messages to me when I'm sitting next to him on the sofa:grin:

Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery to both of you. When I broke my wrist a few years ago I found it was the little things that I wanted to do which were impossible - pulling up tights was one of them - not that it will bother you, Pete! Hope you are both able to resume your exercise regime as soon as possible.
Thanks all of you for your good wishes - currently getting ready to go to the pool in Malta, very hot just like England, with a plastic cover for my cast which is supposed to waterproof it. Not in pain, would not have thought there was a break if I had not seen the X-ray, so will have a go at swimming. Needed assistance with the suncream!
WiFi dodgy but will try to keep you updated...

Get well soon Creakypete
It sounds like you're doing well Pete. Have a good swim!
Best wishes to both of you. I hope that's it for breaks and we don't get a third!
Hi all from sunny Malta! We went for a jog this morning but left it too late and it was really hot & knackering - 4 miles at 10 minute pace - and have been sunning ourselves since. Managed a couple of quick swims in the sea with the plastic bag device over my cast but even with extra rubber bands there was dampness getting in and the plaster feels a bit soggy now. Expect I shall get in trouble with the fracture clinic when I get home. Wrist feels OK thought, no pain most of the time and sleeping is OK.
Hope you are doing well MaryAnn, thanks all of you for your interest...

Enjoy your holiday Pete! Just tell the clinic that it was really really hot, and can you believe how much you sweated?! lol
Oh my! I hope you both heal up quickly and well, with full use of your appendages!!
I'm glad you're feeling well, Pete.
I had a doctor's appointment today. He is happy with my progress. He took the sutures out and put on a new cast. The old one was rather loose since the swelling has gone down.
Now I just have to decide if I want to go on my business trip on Monday. It involves a long-haul flight and I'm quite nervous about hauling luggage around. Unfortunately I am traveling alone. I need to decide by tomorrow.

Good to hear that things are progressing for you - l'm hoping that my wrist will have healed enough despite all the mistreatment this week that it does not need a full cast next week -I hate being unable to do stuff. Managed to swim in the sea again today, lots of fish and very warm. Last day tomorrow, back to autumn in UK...
Me again - back from hols, took the soggy cast to the fracture clinic this afternoon and got it replaced with a beautiful bright pink fiberglass version, which will have to stay on until 5th September.
They would not spring for another x-ray unless there was a problem so I don't know how well things are progressing other than it is not painful. Still not allowed to swim, run, bike but we shall have to see about that...
How are you MaryAnn? When does your cast come off?

The bright pink sounds fab! So glad you're not in pain.
Yes, MaryAnn, how are you doing? I'm keeping the piano warm for you!
