Well we could probably take the shorter route and list the things I like instead of hate. I am a very picky eater, though you might not guess it by looking at me. lol

Seafood and fish are at the top of my yuck list; followed by any of the picnic salads made with mayo (egg salad, potato salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, pasta salad, etc.) I can tolerate chicken salad if I make it myself using ranch and NO relish.

I am a super taster and react strongly to bitter which is why many green veggies are on my thou shall not list. Also on the way too bitter list is kale chips, dry wine and coffee. There isn't enough cream and sugar in the whole world to make coffee palatable for me.

I also have texture issues, so there are a few other things. Nothing slimy and I have issues about crunchy food, too. I like most things crunchy, but I DO NOT like them mixed in with other things. No onions and peppers on my pizza or lettuce on my taco. I like onions, peppers and lettuce just not on my pizza, burgers or tacos. Yeah, I'm pretty weird about food. I also do not like my food to touch on the plate and only eat one thing at a time. Don't mind me, just blame it on my OCD.
Ketchup with eggs makes me want to chuck up :(

Can't even wash someones plate up if they've had the two together. Seeing yellow & red together makes me feel sick. Truly wierd!

This made me laugh.

I hate that combination for an entirely different reason. While working in a restaurant years ago, one of the busboys asked if I would make him something to eat. I made him a wonderful omelet, which he proceeded to smother (inundate might be a better word choice) in ketchup. Needless to say, it was the last meal I cooked for him.
Can I have another go? Just remembered grapefruit - horrible taste, and it turns out to be potentially dangerous with a number of common medications - why is it still available in the shops???
I eat most things, even if they are not to my taste. And I love celery, onions, liver, and marmite.

But I really cannot drink tea - the smell disgusts me, and I cannot eat english mustard or horseradish, or seafood such as cockles and mussels. I also don't like olives, capers and anchovies.
I love ordering grapefruit juice in Paris because the French word, pamplemousse, makes me giggle.

Although I do prefer my grapefruit juice if it has a bit of vodka in it ;-)
I don't hate but if I was going off to a dessert island and could chose to miss things out from my lorry food delivery it would be chocolate, sweets, cakes, fruit, offal, gin and anything that taste of aniseed. I did once have a Harry met Sally moment when eating a chocolate pud at a posh restaurant, never before or since have I eaten anything that made me feel so satisfied when finished
Courgette: tastes just like soil to me!

Avocado: greasy disgustingness, makes me gag!

Sharon fruit is the worst for me though, just find it vile!
Sharon fruit ?????
I ve never liked tongue. I just don't like the obvious implication or origin.....just can't deal with it. very illogcal when the rest of the animal is used.

The again I'm eating less and less animals products generally.

I used to eat pork chops but my teeth aren't very clever now and I don't want any more beakages.

I use to eat a lot of chicken but haven't for long time now.... some times in canned soups.

Fish is very good for you but Im not impressed with the way it (they) check-out. I don't especially want to drown slowly so there is little reason why they should for me.
Our Mum alays encouraged us to tate some thing two or three times. We all use to say aaaaaaahhhh! don't like that! on firtaquaintance but she usd to say give it a chance.

A lot of our friends etc are fussy eaters but my Mum's approach avoided a lot of that.

My sister's ex couldn't eat this and couldn't eat that....
Just remembered the yuk factor of marzipan! Acchhh, wedding cakes, fruit cakes ruined by thick and disgusting marzipan icing. Tum turning as I write...and I'm no fan of rice pudding, it's the ecchhyy smell.

I like rice and I like cold milk BUT heat up the milk and chuck in some rice - yuk. Can't stand the smell, never get as far as the taste.
The only other thing I can't abide is ground almonds.

Now I've forgotten the poster of that taste, was it jane g? Just recalling with you reminded me of the same distastes. So, it's a bit weird to thank you, but thank you!

Now I see it's Annie W. Thanks for the memories.... :dazed:
There's no food that I hate, unless you're talking about bugs like braised grasshoppers or deep fried caterpillars. I've tried many unusual foods - won't mention what they are in case it upsets people.
my name is jane and I'm a marzipan addict!
Hate leaf coriander but love the seed
Chilli- it hurts! Burny, nippy so just can't tolerate it
Hate Hate Hate tomatoes and as a vegetarian find that quite challenging. Interestingly, seem to be developing a sensitivity to them. The plants make me itch, smart and wheeze and the cut fruit is begining to make me wheeze if I'm close to them- very odd!
Am veggie because I don;t like red meat and don;t eat fowl or fish now. Fowl 'cos I kept them and fish because they are friends, not food (as Bruce says in Finding Nemo)
oh , and hate tea- yucky stuff.
Papaya- don;t like the soapy taste and it really doesn't like me.
White chocolate - ugh
and fruit paired with chocolate- what is that about?- shudder
Having said all this though, I am adventurous and will try most things. Pre veggie days had snails and all manner of things. Veggie is much safer!
