definitely delighted today

well, I hope you will celebrate with me today, I've been 5/2ing and 4/3ing for just under 3 months, and I've reached my first interim goal! This morning I have officially crossed from "obese 2" to "obese 1" - gotta love the lingo (not)!

Oh and not to forget HIIT (who could? :dazed: ), I think it's really been helping in the last 3 weeks, certainly my quads have changed shape so I'm definitely NOT losing muscle, although I may have been losing a bit of water, since I've been a little tighter with my carbs on feed days - usually around 70 g on day-after-fast, maybe up to 150 on the other day - that has taken much more of a psychic rearrangement than fasting or HIITing has - I have been a bread and a milk girl since I was a small child. Diabetes is also going really well, sugars are high fours to high fives - unless I have a small carb binge, which happened as recently as a week ago. But perspective! - that's a small problem atm.

Pity you can't keep your old interim goal when you create a new one - @Moogie? Today the new goal looks like looking over a large cliff - everything below it is completely tiny & indistinguishable - would like to hang on to the achievement of the old goal while going for the new one. It's 15 kg away - and it will be the border between "obese 1" and "overweight" - now that will be a big celebration. Oh but there will be a one in between - when I reach 100 kg, that will also call for a celebration!

So how will I celebrate today? Maybe a couple of big bunches of flowers from the Camberwell market, maybe some Sydney Rock Oysters for lunch? My son is hopefully coming for dinner - unless he gets a better offer! - so that might be Jamie Oliver (15 min meals - has also changed my life! I now put chilli in everything!)chicken cacciatore with cauliflower rice instead of pasta - haven't made the cauliflower rice thing before, but it's yummy by all accounts.

Hope everyone has a good day!

 Well done @jools7 That's fantastic news
Can't you set another "interim" goal?
Great news and good luck in getting below the 100kg :clover:
I know exactly how delighted you're feeling right now.
The downwards direction for both of us that's the only way.

@Jools7 Perhaps you can add a note in your progress tracker (under add new data)? It won't leave a mark on the chart, I think, but you've got some reminder sitting there. Nearly forgot to say, congratulations!!!

Thank you so much everyone! It feels big (and so do I, but in a good way!!) I haven't been this weight since being just pregnant with my first son, now 23! I truly didn't think it was possible for me - that actually touches me deeply. But I seriously couldn't have done it without youse all (strine reference there!) - your willingness to be there for me when things get tough, as well as when things are cruisey, has been nothing short of life-changing for me -thank you all so much, and especially you, @carorees, you've been the voice of reason sometimes when I felt like I was in the middle of a maelstrom! And big thanks especially to my medical colleague (if I may say) Dr Michael Mosley, you're an inspiration to me & many, also Jamie Oliver for teaching me to cook yummy healthy things (gotta get 15 min meals guys, it's a revolution!) . I'd better stop now, because it's beginning to sound like I just won an oscar! I still have a long way to go, and there will undoubtedly be many more discombobulating moments and joys & depressions, but just today, I feel somehow that I've already done the hardest part.

Thank you so much,@callyanna, for bringing the beautiful Neil in on the celebrations - lovely to share that with you! I feel "I'm really close tonight"!

Enjoy your day, or night, everyone!
