Delighted or Disappointed?

Juliana she was very pleased to get me away from my usual bootleg style.

Both daughters tease me about my wardrobe choices sometimes. I find it very useful to have their advice as I don't want to be a frump or even worse mutton dressed as lamb!
Well done Windsinger I know the feeling as I too bought first jeans, then this week trousers in size 12 - it's fab isn't it??
Woo Hoo!
Well done on reaching that milestone!! I too am looking forward to getting into a pair of lovely Valentino jeans I scored in a charity shop!!
I so get the legs looking thinner with 5:2 and I have another good tip for you with winter coming in for you in the northern hemisphere. Because I had lost lots in my legs I was able to for first time in 22 years get into skirts at the knee and tights and ankle boots. I found my new preloaded size 12 skirts in the op shops, and they have been a wonderful solution while I am interim sized. The tights are great autumn colours to go with my boots and I only needed a brown speckled wool, black stretchy and grey a line skirts. Lots of compliments, legs warm in tights and ankle boots are just the greatest. Layers then are wool cardies and coats.
Awesome! I haven't tried skinny jeans yet, and to tell the truth, don't think they would suit me though I'm getting pretty skinny. :victory: I don't like the feeling of snug on my calves.

I do need to go shopping for some new jeans, though. My previously trim looking jeans (straight-legged with a little stretch in them) are saggy and draggy looking. I had to change out of them today because I thought they looked tooooooo sloppy!

Good problem to have!
Don't you love an op shop gillymary? Clothes in, and clothes out again!
Oh yes Debs where ever I travel I try to find an op shop. My newly loved brown cream fleck woolly skirt was from Paddington Qld. At start of winter I had to get a whole new wardrobe of trousers but the skirts were such a find and fun with different tights It didn't matter about size and skirts size 12 not falling down. I got tights compliments and 'ooh you have legs' as I didn't like mine and I had hidden them for years. I think regular gym has helped but mainly 5:2 weight loss.

I have some skinny jeans too :)
Well done!

I too wore skinny jeans yesterday that I've had in my warderobe for ages, not only were they lose but I also got two people saying they thought I'd lost weight!!
Woohoo! Brilliant! You must be feeling absolutely wonderful xxx
Well done on your loss.

I would never have thought of wearing skinny jeans, but after reading this I think I might give them a try.

I will have to take daughter with me. She is very honest and will tell me "no mother" if clothes are not right for me.

She is now getting worried as I am almost the same size as her and like her taste in clothes!!

Just remembered..... She has some skinny jeans!!

Wonderful news Windsinger! Buying three pairs is the sign of a seriously good shopping trip. Can identify with that "squee" feeling when trying on jeans and they fit!
Interesting to hear others opinions on where the fat has been lost. I think my tummy and legs have all reduced because suddenly trying on trousers has become a joy. Pre 5:2 it was dreadfully upsetting when the legs looked great but couldn't get the zip up.
Just wondering how many followed my lead and have since bought some skinny jeans? I am a complete convert now. I would encourage everyone to be brave when buying new clothes as its too easy to just look for the same styles in smaller sizes after many years of being overweight. You may well find that different things suit you better now and will emphasise your new slim figure. For work I have bought several pencil skirts and vest tops that I wear with a jacket or little cardigans in bright colours. I also have some lovely fitted dresses. All with high heels of course  . Before losing weight I had been wearing trousers, loose overtops and longline cardigans - quite frumpy.

Go for it ladies !
Yes I have some skirts on order - coming tomorrow to work :victory:  and I will be getting some knee high boots in the sales this year. And see my thread about trying on dresses

Oh dear.

I was very pleased with myself this weekend. I went & bought 3 pairs of jeans. 2 were size 10 & one pair was actually size 8

BUT they were all bootleg :( I SO don't like skinny jeans. I'm sorry but I want the waistline somewhere near my waist & I want my jeans to kinda sit over my trainers.

I'm 50 in 4 weeks & now starting to wonder if I really am my age :(

Skinny jeans, sorry but I hate them :( :(
