That's fantastic Julie -- what a great Christmas present to yourself! If you keep that up, then next Christmas you'll lose the O-word altogether! All the best for your upcoming surgery.

Fantastic achievement - very well done
That's absolutely wonderful Julie : D
You must feel great to have control back in your life and be achieving your goals.
I like to think of weight lost in terms of tubs of margarine - you have a large stack of them to reflect on!!
Best wishes as you continue your journey.

Julieathome wrote: He just told me to lose as much as possible. My doctor said they would probably be fine with a BMI below 40, better yet below 35, obviously absolutely fine with 25 but that would stretch the time too far.
I am hoping to knock half a BMI point off before I see him in 3 weeks, and going by how slow the NHS is, be below the 35 mark before the actual surgery.
You must be so relieved to have reach your primary target, I seem to remember you were really worried about that. Next goal, reaching 35
By the way, does anybody know how many pounds/kilos one need to lose to lose 1 BMI point
Living proof if ever there was someone!! Well done!!
The amount of weight needed to change by 1 BMI point depends on your height! Multiply your height in metres by itself to get the number of kg that equals 1 BMI point (e.g. 1.7 x 1.7 = 2.89).
