Over the summer I had to buy some smaller jeans because the ones I was wearing were falling down. Well I just threw on a pair that I hadn't worn since starting 5:2 and THOSE are now falling down! I think I'm going to have to get some new jeans again

It's almost inconvenient isn't it?! hee-hee!
Fantastic news! Well done!

Congratulations! What a great feeling I've had the same problem, and even having just bought some comfy size 12s I've found that after a couple of days they're too loose. Expect the January sales may see me finding some size 10s (or maybe just fitting into the ones still in my cupboard from years ago - is it just me that has a cupboard full of clothes size 8-16?!)
That's great daydreamer!
time to hit the shops
time to hit the shops
Yay to falling jeans!.. and even bigger yay to shopping for smaller jeans!!
Congratulations It is a great feeling.
I never had size 8 in my cupboard until I started 5:2. I have just recently purged myself of all clothes size 12 qnd upwards. DH was complaining that my tops looked too big on me so I've purged and finally bought some new tops as well as jeans.

I think my shopping shall have to wait until the January sales, I may even be smaller then too! I didn't really get much wear out of these jeans, barely two months lol. Thank you all for the kind words
I also had a very pleasant surprise when I brought out my winter clothes - two pairs of trousers have been taken in at the waist. Also, all my skirts are longer and the waistbands are looser due to inches lost on waist, bum and hip regions!

Oooooh yeah! That's a good idea. I love Brand Alley
Thank you all! Even if my scales aren't showing much of a loss, my builders bum is saying otherwise
Woohooo can't wait till my jeans have a bit of wriggle room ... Have everything in my cupboard from size 10 to 16. Hopefully I'll be in the side 10s soon
Mixed feelings on jeans for me today! Finally went out to get some new jeans with daughter in tow (my fashion guru!) I was size 18 a couple of years ago and only went down to size 16 earlier this year - but they are now way to baggy for me. Was really pleased in that I could easily get into a size 14 AND DO THEM UP!!!! But the muffin top was back and really not a pleasant look. So I've stuck with size 16 for now, but in a different style - a bit more closer cut and a straight leg. So mixed feelings really, as I can fit in to size 14 but they look rubbish !!! Oh well, never mind, new jeans, different style ... looking way better than 2 years ago
I don't mind so much having to replace my jeans - they're cheap enough and it's nice to have an update. (And it's also nice when the tag says 8 )
What I DO mind is having to replace my extensive wardrobe of work clothes. All my suits, pants and skirts are fitted, and are most certainly NOT cheap. You can only get away with belting too-baggy pants to a certain point without looking unprofessional *sigh*
The irony is that one of my motivators for starting 5:2 was that I wanted to drop 4kg because my jeans were too snug and I didn't want to have to fork out to buy new ones lol.
