Woot, stone finally off..
04 Apr 2013, 09:45
Well, I have officially lost a stone. I think it's possibly more but this is going on the tracker here, which is very useful indeed.

I started off on ADF but have swapped to 4:3 this last couple of weeks. Interestingly, as I'd upped my exercise and gone all healthy with food, the loss slowed down and stopped last week. So this week, back to the chocolate and all day brekkies (in moderation and with mindfulness, no binging!) and woot, I've achieved my mini-goal.

Onwards and downwards...

Congrats from me too! I'm fascinated about how we are getting more and more reports about changing intake resulting in an increase in weightloss. Obviously feasting every non-fast day will not result in weightloss but it seems that throwing in the occasional high calorie day seems to give the metabolism a bit of a kick! I wonder if it is something to do with increased fat content in the diet when we have a high(er) calorie day(s)?

Aw, shucks, thanks all.

I do worry I'm turning into the diet police sometimes... :-)

I'm more and more convinced about the loss being something to do with feast and famine. Given that Paleo is the preferred Crossfit diet, I'd been reading about it and cutting carbs but it appears I respond better to a bit of indulgence too.

well done you, keep up the good work, it just shows how this way of eating does work.

I've also posted the stats as not everyone is losing fast and I appear to be pretty much average so it showed how both slow it is and how it adds up.

I assume next goal will be 13 stone but I've been hovering around losing the stone for a while now and getting past 14 stone took what felt like ages! Be good to have a BMI under 30 too.

Well done! I'm experimenting with Caroline's theory and increasing my intake a bit in the hope that it shales a bit more loose. I lost well on the first few fasts but slowed right down again. Looking at my intake on Fat Secret I'm not eating anywhere near my TDEE. Worth a go and I can always cut down again if it doesn't work. Sometimes you need to jig it up a bit dpon't you? If you keep cutting you run out of places to go when you stall. Hoping it works for me too.

Fantastic. Well done.
Thank you so much for posting all the stats which are very encouraging, and just go to prove that if you stick with it the weight will start to shift again.
I hope you're going to celebrate.....

Erm, lunch out with visiting in-laws. Chicken stroganoff with chips and rice followed by cherry pie and custard. It was yum!

All my celebrations involve food, that's why this diet works well for me. I'm sitting there wolfing food down, raving about a diet! Even the girl behind the bar got told about it!

Well done BBT053! It is wonderful how good it feels to have lost a whole stone! I'm guessing that your next mini target will be to get down to 12 stone something and that will feel great too! Congratulations for your perseverance and your success!
