This morning I put on my horseback riding helmet for the first time in a while and the chin strap was really dangling--I had to tighten it up an inch or so. Out of curiosity, I just tried on my old rings--I don't wear jewelry much and especially not rings, not even my wedding ring, but I had noticed, years back, that I could no longer get my wedding ring on. Today I was surprised to find that it fits again. Then I looked at my watch and found I'd gone down a hole on that strap without realizing it. I started this diet as an alternative to buying a new wardrobe the next size up; now I need to go down a size. I lost 2 lbs/week on my own, loose version of 5:2 (meaning as much as 700 calories on some of my "fasting" days) to reach my original goal of -13 lbs. in 8 weeks; I've be on maintenance (generally 6:1 or (2) 1000 calorie days) for about 6 weeks and I've lost 5.5 lbs. more--apparently my metabolism has been reset and my food choices are definitely improved. I was never in an unhealthy weight range, but now I am positively slim and 25 years of slow weight gains are gone in 14 weeks.

Well done! I love reading about success with this WoE and the unexpected results. It is amazing at how many areas are affected by weight loss. Years ago my Mom had lost a significant amount of weight and discovered she had to have her dentures refitted because her gums just weren't as fat! lol Congrats and hope you continue to enjoy your maintenance.
I am dreading my feet shrinking back to a size 6. I have been a size 7 for over 20 years, yet the shoes are already becoming a bit loose due to the water retention not happening as often. A whole cupboard of shoes... nooooo!
My glasses keep falling off when I'm gardening. I jokingly said it was because I had lost weight but maybe it isn't such a silly idea after all
Great topic line. I don't know how anyone can resist reading your OP. Congrats!
That headline really made me chuckle!
Well done on your weightloss. Fab news. In the past when I've lost weight, I've strangely noticed it on my wrists! I've said to my husband that my wrists have lost weight and he always thinks I'm bonkers.

Hey MCC I seemed to have found your chin
As long as you haven't lost your stiff upper lip, eh?
I too have lost a couple of chins...I can actually go to the hairdresser and not have to sit there stretching my neck so I look OK in the mirror!!!

Well done MCC haven't lost chin yet, noticed rings, also a waist-bag I wear for walking I've left it at original agust size and its way over my other belly!!! Yet I must get waist measuring wrong coz it doesn't show a big difference from starting but bag show lot of change, so that's what I'm going by of course Sue
I should have said that I GAINED a chin. I am of British descent, after all, and now I have a bit more definition in the chin area.
My engagement ring fits again and my watch is loose!
