No more muffin top !
23 Jun 2013, 09:59
I must admit, I am bluffed

A few days ago I talked, on my blog, of a pair of trousers that I could put on but was a bit too tight and made what I learned is called a muffin top. Today, I take it, put it on ans the muffin top is gone

I still don't know how much I lost since I began fasting 3 weeks ago but it means that, since february where I began dieting, I lost 2 sizes. I don't know the equivalence in English sizes but, in France that means that I was 50 when I began and I am now 46 (it seems that I went from 22 to 18)

I know that the long term goal is the health benefits (and, in my case, the asthma) but damned, this is goooooooood

:like: Excellent news! A muffin is nice to eat but does not look good hanging out of your trousers!

Fantastic news. 2 dress sizes is brilliant. It amazes me as well that the muffin top gets smaller. I tried on my "goal jeans" on today and they fit! Can get them done up and even sit down in them. Still a little bit of muffin there but the back muffin builders bum has gone. Woohoo for 5:2. Shelley x

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't think I would feel so proud

The only thing will be to build muscles and to make the skin much softer (and without cellulite)...

Merci, à toi également...

About the muffin top, it's an even bigger suprise because I couldn't really exercice these past weeks. The next step will try to find something to build the muscle and not have soggy skin

The reactions around me are quite funny. Some don't regognize me, some find my butt amazing  but I still don't really talk about how I lose the weight because it's a lot contreversial, and the discussions are endless and not good ones. I truly believe that being part of this forum and to be able to talk about it with people who live the same thing who understand what I am going through is a big part of the weight loss. For the first time I truly undersand why it is advised to do it with others. It's a boost.

Today I don't feel like fasting and I thought I would do it tomorrow but I came here and it gave me the kick in the butt I needed and not find excuses  .

I won't begin a new topic even if the news is big for me

As some of you maybe know, I had to stop fasting until next week. I fast monday and did a 16:8 wednesday and that's it basically. I was just hoping I wouldn't put on weight so imagine my surprise when, this morning, I found out that I lost some weight. In fact, concerning the top, I know wear a 42/44 (14/16 UK sizes) which is quite unexpected as I have a "large" chest.

I talked about toning (is that the right word ?) my arms and legs with a friend of mine who is a trainer and, in his opinion, I should focus first on the weight loss and the toning after. As I trust him, that's what I'll do.

In other news I still feel pain in my legs when I am in bed however it's much better than 3 days ago. I wonder if it has something to do with the fast ? I don't know, maybe vitamins or magnesium...

Hi Manderlay Just wanted to say I'm glad you are feeling a little better!! Wondered if it's '' restless leg syndrome'' not quite sure what it is something to do with vitamins + minerals I think maybe worth looking into or maybe some intelligent person will put you right, also good to hear about you're downsize in clothes. Good luck :clover: Sue

I don't know, really, what it is. It's a bit strange. Last night, for example, I didn't feel any pain, at all. Can it have someting to do with last week "other pain" which was hemorrhoid (a real pain in the butt....) ? Maybe as they are much much better and my legs are as well.

For now I'll take some apple cider vinegar every day as it is good for that pain (in the butt) and for weight loss as well.

For the clothes, this is just great, I am so proud of myself... It's quite strange because I am sad as well. I mean, there are some clothes that I love and some I used to wear quite a lot because I love them, a skirt, for example and I don't know if I can make it a way I would be abble to wear it without being ridiculous....
