HELP!!!

Ever since I got back from Holiday - 4 weeks ago!! I've been hungry and unable to make it through a proposed fast day

Why can't i get back to it??? I start out with great intentions but by lunch i'm so hungry - and even when i have eaten i'm feeling light headed and woosey :starving:

I'm definitely drinking enough fluids, so dehydration is not a factor

I've got the Race for Life, 10k Sunday morning and next Sat a 20mile charity bike ride, so i'm not being lazy at the mo

Was thinking to try again Monday and have a fast day - i'll be back to request lots of support i think!!!

I did weigh last week but there was a slight gain and i could not face posting my weigh in - but i'll weigh tomorrow morning and log whatever it reads, maybe that will help

OH!!!!
Lulabelle maybe you are suffering from a carb overload. You'll adjust now that you are back to reality.
I know just how you are feeling, I was fasting fine then had a holiday break and now every time I try to fast I sabotage myself. I don't understand why as every thing was fine, I had some health problems but they were discovered as vitamin deficiencies and are now being treated so things should be easier but seem to be harder. I hope you can solve your problem quicker than I have been able to and fingers crossed for me as well as I hope to fast on Sunday as we have an overseas visitor at work on Monday and I have to take her out for dinner. By the way good luck for your race for life, in August I will be taking part in a 16 mile walk for the limbless assoc. f
How about looking at Dr M's tv programme again and reading the book again or maybe getting one of the other 5/2 books. It may just rekindle your enthusiasm again. I wish you well in what ever you decide to do.
With a BMI in the middle of the normal range, why bother to lose weight?
I agree with Nessie, you need to get your mind back on track and perhaps also reading some of the nerdy stuff on here to reiterate why you are doing this and what you want to achieve, good luck and don't give up, you will soon be back into the swing of things,

Ballerina
Thanks for your posts girls, I'm going to have a nose through the forum to rekindle myself.

good luck with your walk Riel :)

Ps, sorry to say, but a very male suggestion :(

Losing weight is a really personal thing, dude, everyone has their reasons, regardless of what their BMI is.

The great thing about this forum is that people are really supportive no matter how much or little we all want to lose and I am sorry but I just didn't think that was a massively helpful comment.
Thanks for that, you're right I come on here for moral support to shift that infamous 7lbs, I once I get back into gear I should be ok!!
Just sat down, finally, with a chilli prawn and avocado salad, yummy, now just got to avoid that glass of wine!! LOL!!
I think getting on the scales and registering your weight would be a good thing to do to get you back on track. I came back from my hols having eaten and drank loads, I did 2 fasts this week and refused to weigh until the morning after my second fast. Definitely got me back on track. Good luck and don't give up. xxx
I was going to start a new topic, titled "blimey, I think I lost my ability to fast".

As most of you know I've been through a very stressful and tiring time and I thought that this week I would get back to normal but -alas!- I just can't.
I have two explanations:

One, I am very tired and my body needs nutritions and doesn't agree with fasting.

Two, it's that time of the month and it's one of those stupid, difficult months.

Or, could it be both? Any thoughts/ideas? I managed to stay under 600 today but I was dizzy all day long...

Keep in mind that it's not that I don't want to fast. I DO! But if I feel like fainting, I kinda hesitate. I haven't lost my will to fast, I think I lost my ability! Can that happen???
