I have just weighed myself & I have lost 8 1/2 lbs in two weeks so I am now 2oz below the weight I was before going on holiday & getting close to having lost 2 stone since Christmas. This WOE is wonderful being able to have a life that includes eating out & some treats with fasting as the remedy
Fantastic job, I'm away for a week soon so this gives me hope, did you fast at all while away? I'm going to play it by ear and see how I feel. Two stone loss is a fabulous feeling, you're well on your way :0)
Isis - well done! :like: :clover: :victory:
And reassurance for everyone else :victory:  :victory:
:like: Well done Isis :like: that's great.
It's given me hope - I've had the last 4 weeks off - holiday then ill health - & I've put on 5lbs. Hopefully I'll be able to lose it as quick as you did when I return to this WOE :clover:
That's wonderful Isis! You must be so pleased.
Mariposa I didn't fast & really only ate from what was on offer with trying to eat sensibly but I did have wine & puddings. My extra weight I feel sure was partly dehydration with my body hanging on to fluids & me probably restricting fluids with flying, I don't like using the loo on a plane if I can avoid it! My first week I lost 6 lbs which is very unusual for me because I am a slow loser on this WOE. I think it is also a matter of fast on & fast off  & rehydrating in the first week back when I consciously drank lots of water. I surprisingly also walked a lot & uphill & downhill in Orkney & Shetland. I'm sure since I did it you can do it too
Nice! Very nice!

I wonder if anybody has managed to fast while on holiday...
TML, I did. I went on a nearly two weeks vacation in Seattle, WA and Whistler Canada. First of all just wanted to clarify that I'm in maintenance. The week before the vacationI did 4:3... Added a 600 cal Friday fast in the last minute...At first I thought that I would fast on Sunday which was a day of flight from NY to Seattle but then I decided that it would be too much as this day would be really long due to the time zone change. That's why I fasted on Friday, than I fasted on Wednesday (650 cals) which was a day of mostly driving from Seattle to Whistler and I did the same on Sat which was the day of driving back from Whistler to Seattle, than on the night before flying home we had dinner at our friends and that was the only time I allowed myself to eat really freely without counting anything including cake and nuts and bread and cheeses. It was yami and fun and so on the day of the flight back to NY (Thursday) I fasted . Had only 360 cals that day which was shorter by 3 hours. During the vacation I exercised a lot my fitbit One logged 24000 steps one day and over 22000 in another day and most days it logged over 13000. I mainly ran and hiked and also did some cross training. I also ate a lot although relatively sensibly. We had many dinners out and it was really fun and the bottom line- NO WEIGHT GAIN :victory:
Well done! I too am feeling back on track, today I nervously stood on the scales after 3 weeks off work, 1 week of which was in beautiful Devon. During the recent heat wave, where I daily indulged in chilled wine, ice cream and anything else that took my fancy. Happy days! Back home I returned to our WOE, but feared that I was over indulging on feast day. (Had developed quite a liking for wine and ice cream on sunny days, lol). To my joy and relieve at todays weigh in I have managed to loose 1lb since I weighed myself the day I stopped for annual leave. I think this is the first time in my life I have returned to work post holiday having lost weight, rather than gained!!!!!! DELIGHTED! :victory: :victory: :victory:
joy and relief, sorry typing error x
Well done Isis that's the joy of this WOL no guilt no fuss no problem !!!
Just climb back on board do a few fasts and back to losing weight
Good luck :clover: Sue
Einatbl, got to say, your holidays are much different than mine. If I had a fitbit, my guess is that it would count less than 1000 steps.
I go from room to bakery (for breaky and to buy bread for lunch on the beach) to beach to room (for shower and change) to restaurant to room (to drop dead till next morning). If I stop at a cafe or pastry shop or supermarket it would be on the way to/from the bakery or restaurant.
It's the one week per year that I do absolutely NOTHING. Sadly, I will miss it this year.
TML, I'M sorry that you are going to miss your holiday this year... It sounds very yami ... But on a positive note...at least you will not have to struggle with holiday weight gain
And Isis, congratulations for getting back on track. I read some threads about others who couldn't get back to this WOL following a holiday.
TML13 I lost a dress size while on holidays, mind you it was an 11 week driving/camping hol around aust so no buffets or cocktails by the pool! I fasted 2 weekly for prob 8-9 of those 11 weeks which I found surprisingly easy on the road. However I'm struggling BIG TIME since being home and last week (first full week home) I didn't fast and was out of control with my eating :(
