Re: FITBIT CHAT For DECEMBER

Hi, I would love to join in with you even though I don't have a Fitbit, I chose the Polar Loop instead - it does a similar job to the Fitbit bit the Loop synchs with my HRM and that was the clincher. I've had it 3 months now and it's great. I have a daily activity target to achieve which is a combination of exercise at varying intensities. My main form of exercise is rowing. I bought a rowing machine (Concept 2) about 6 years ago and have clocked up over 9 million metres. Are there any other rowers out there?
Cheers, Debbie

You are welcome to chat here of course, but if you do want to join our fitbit leaderboard, you'll have to get one I'm afraid, but there are other exercising threads, in the getting sweaty forum.
Happy exercising.

I've been trying really hard this month to get my activity levels up, mainly walking fast or jogging round the garden and getting back to my couch to 5 k - mostly on the treadmill after supper ! And I finally went to my first "parkrun" on Saturday. It was a bright crisp cold day, but the setting was in the grounds of a National Trust house and was lovely. I got stuck behind a tractor on the way there so only just arrived in time for the start, which I now think was a good thing as I didn't have time to think about wimping out ! I managed to finish the 5k and only walked up the last hill.... Although I think my fast walking is usually faster than my running speed was. Everyone was friendly, so I will try and go again. I came 151st !
All thanks to the encouragement I get from this forum and the nagging fitbit in my pocket. Do your best everyone !
