Toning tummy pouch
29 Sep 2013, 13:57
Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I really need to tone my lower stomach (the pouchy bit) but I have a back problem- all the discs in my lower back are bulging from the spine and I can't do ANYTHING that pulls my back without being crippled with pain. I was wondering if anyone had any gentle exercises that tone that area that won't have me screaming.

Thanks in advance,
love and peace

I'm don't feel qualified to advise given your condition but I'm wondering if it would be possible for you to consciously suck/hold in your tummy when you are seated? If you can manage it you should also see if you can do some exercises to strengthen the muscles either side of the spine to support the discs. Eg holding a plank. That will pull in your tummy too.

daydreamer, I will PM you when I have a spare ten mins. In 2011 I suffered an awful back problem with my right hand disk for 3 months.. I'll tell you how mine eased up then you may find exercise easier.
