30 Day Shred
24 Feb 2013, 14:53
Hello fellow fasters! Anybody doing the 30 day shred? I'm only on day 3 & wondered if anybody else had tried it? Wanted to lay down and die after my first attempt & could barely lift my arms the following day. I'm going to try really hard to keep at it though. I have never exercised, I hate it & always have :x
I want to emerge toned once I get down to my target weight ( like the squidgy caterpiller to the toned butterfly analogy somebody posted a few days ago) and hope the evil Jillian will help me get there!
So if any of you have had any success with it, let me know :)

It is! It's a workout designed by jillian from The Biggest Looser USA. There are 3 levels to it and you're meant to aim for 10 days on each level. I don't think I'll ever progress to level 2 as level one is very hard for me at the minute, although day 3 was much easier than day 1, so you never know ;)
It takes 20 minutes and combines cardio & strength exercises.

Should you fancy your chances, just look up 30 minute shred on YouTube and all 3 levels are there. It fits in well with the ethos of this WOE in that it don't cost you a penny!

I have this DVD and have attempted the 30 days several times but never completed them, think the furthest i've ever got is about day 13 so I've never tried level 3. 1 and 2 are bad enough!!! I do think it works though, every time I've done it I have felt more toned after about a week, it is really hard to keep up though! Good luck.

I started this nearly 2 weeks ago, got to day 4, which incidently I found easier than day 1, I was really getting into it, but since then I have been very ill with flu, I am looking forward to getting back into it but I'm not a 100% yet so will wait until I am.
I also haven't fasted for 10 days but have lost a few pounds due to lack of appetite.
Good luck with I was really starting to enjoy the pain lol... :)

I'm thinking I might give it another go, see if I can finally make it to level 3. I've only just started this diet though so don't know how I'll get on with exercising on fast days.

Hi I'm sorry to say I did this for 25 days on the trot and I put on two pounds! Was totally gutted after all the hard work I put into it, but have read lots of good reports from others so good luck to you.
