Hi forum buddies. Still Sunday in the UK, but I've finished munching for the day and am definitely on for a 36er through to Tuesday lunchtime.... so thought I'd get a thread going  Who's in this week then? Wildmissus? B&W, Minum, Rawkaren, Katamac et al? Have done a bit of baking this rainy Sunday afternoon, so I've now got scones, Weetabix cake and a yogurt cake sitting in the kitchen.... hope I can avoid them through to Tuesday - will have to stick a note on the tins ... yes I'm that weak willed I'll need to remind myself. Happy fasting to everyone :clover:
I am in too though feeling meh as still stuck it is taking me 4:3 and losses are at snails pace. Is my body saying enough is enough as my weight loss is soooooooo slooooow. On the cheery side not gaining and I am at my original goal at nearly 2 sizes down. Have a good fast everyone. Oh that baking sound great what is a wheatabix cake suchard?
Hi gilly - Weetabix cake is yummy - 2 weetabix, 100g sugar, 140g mixed dried fruit, 230g SR flour, 8oz milk - throw them all in a bowl together and mix. Then into a tin (I use a loaf tin) and 170C (fan oven) for 50 mins. Scrumptious! Absolutely no idea about calories, 'cos I only eat it on a 5 day so I don't bother too much about calories in it. Warm out of the oven, spread with butter... deliiiiiicious :eat:
Will give it a go when not fasting as might be too tempted, take care there with all those temptations and thanks for the prompt recipe suchard, hope you are going well?
I'm in for tomorrow, been a traumatic day with my daughter's first wobbly tooth, she spent all afternoon staring into a mirror at it and wobbling it around as it was so loose and then managed to swallow it with her dinner! Ha, ha! She was very distraught! We've written a note for the tooth fairy! Hoping the rest of teeth are less hassle than this one! Happy Monday fasting all :0)
Me, me, me! Have had a weekend of eating out, cakes and wine
I'm in. Pretty healthy weekend food wise but drank a lake of wine and beer, so darent calculate the calories. Have done well tonight though, and stayed off the booze, which is rare for me on a Sunday, so hopefully a good nights sleep, and an easy fast tomoz.
Yes, I'm in. Had a lovely roast chicken dinner for my tea tonight, but....went to Lidl this morning for the first time in an age and they had a huge container full of loose pistachios. So a few scoops later and me and my girls have been nibbling away at them every since. Stomach is beginning to grumble now!

Suchard, just noticed your BMI. Really impressed that not only have you maintained but have lost while you've been away from the forum. You are proof that 5:2ing works.
Thanks, Suchard!

Yes, I'm in - had my last bite at precisely 6.44 this evening, so I already have 5+ hours under my belt! (The one with 3 extra holes! )

Had a mild panic this afternoon, when I realised this was my last NFD until Tuesday, so if I was going to have something sweet today, I'd better have it quick! Just a couple of squares of Lindt's Chilli choc - my new favourite!

I had both home-made trifle (calorie counted) and tempura during the week - dishes I would never have had before I started 5:2!

I'm thinking of starting a thread along those lines:

"What do you eat now, that you would never even consider before starting 5:2?"

Aiming for a <100 calorie soup tomorrow, hopefully an improvement on last week's!
Anyone else liquid fasting today?
I'm in too. The day has gone so quick that I haven't even noticed not eating! However my daughter is currently preparing dinner for the rest of the family - pizza that smells absolutely divine - so will need to distract myself somehow!

Hope everyone is managing ok.
I'm in. 5:30, and going well. Just got a job working in an office (I normally work from home) and it is good at removing food from my thoughts. But sucks in so many other ways - can't take the dog for a walk randomly, can't catch up with friend who drops in unexpectedly, can't meet one of my kidlets on a whim as they walk home from school, can't spend time flicking into this forum/facebook/twitter - okay, that last one is probably not a bad thing.
Hi Wildmissus - I seemed to maintain reasonably well whilst I was away from the forum, but barely lost any... but I'm very happy that I think I've found a formula that will work for me maintenance wise. However, I've still got a minimum of half a stone still to shed - so I really hope that now I'm back on the forum I can get my act together and get rid of the last stone or so. I've signed up to the 69ers Christmas Club - so that's a real motivation :hugright:

rawkaren - I'll be liquid only for the 36hrs - but may sneak in a bowl of homemade soup this evening - not strictly legitimate I guess as it'll have some calories in it, but it's still liquid

Good luck everyone - AiriR, stand strong against the smell of that pizza :clover:
Hi everyone- I'm in today too. I for once was not the worst at the weekend - despite an 11am trip to McDonalds yesterday - but did not get my usual chinese last night- a first for me. I've hectic day at work and my first german lesson tonight to please god the day goes Quickly. - 12 hours til bedtime
Starting to wobble - cold and hungry - hopefully by simply posting again on this thread it'll make me feel guilty enough to stay away from the food..... another cup of veggie stock me things .......... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
