Well done pinchypops - off to a good start - glad it was easy for you :victory:
Well done, everyone!

I'm just coming to the end of a 41 hour liquid fast. I've got my breakfast laid out in front of me: curried fruit naan, split and slathered with banana - yet I'm strangely reluctant to eat. I'm not in the slightest bit hungry, and I'm only eating because I think I've fasted long enough.

I know once I eat I'll flip the hunger switch and, unless I'm very careful, I'll want to eat all day!

Breakfast and lunch (if I have any - might turn breakfast into brunch) combined will come to less than 600 cals, so I'll be doing 48 hours on <600! :)
Gonna have to ask the stupid question.

36 hours - do you count from last food yesterday or from midnight?

tempted to join in but as I have never done a liquid fast or a 36 hour one am not sure.

I stopped eating and drinking anything containing calories yesterday at 8pm. So do the 36 hours start from then?
Last food from yesterday. So assuming you finish eating at 6pm you fast all of the next day and then the following morning until lunchtime.
Well the hunger switch came on again, as I knew it would - but when I finished my brekkie I put the kitchen timer on for twenty minutes - and I noticed that my desire for more food had subsided after 18 minutes had passed. :)

I won't bother with lunch.
If you stop eating at 6pm, then fast for 36 hours it means you can eat at 6.00am the day after, you don't need to wait till lunctime
Thanks for clarifying things for me :victory:

Gonna give it a go.

Only had Actimel and water so far. We'll see how it goes. It's really just dinner that I would skip then, the rest is as I have been doing for some time now.

Finished eating yesterday just before 8pm, didn't even have a cuppa after, so I can have breakfast tomorrow morning when I get up. :like:
Go for it Alexandra, you're doing it the right way by going from one meal on a fast day to none. If you don't like it you don't have to do it again. It is definitely something to try once. I really enjoy giving my body a complete rest on Mondays in particular. I find Thursdays a bit harder but I know if I went back to having an evening meal I wouldn't stop eating. Good luck.
My almost 48 hour fast (41 hour liquid fast, then 200 cals for a late breakfast) is now all behind me, and I have 5 NFDs ahead of me. :like:

I managed to go through until 5.15 with only liquid, but I have to admit I was watching the clock all afternoon, waiting until I could pour myself a beer.

I had roughly half a pint of beer (homemade stout actually) amounting to around 225 cals, before dinner at 6.20

Together with the around 200 calories for breakfast, I was well under 600 cals - over nearly 48 hours
Great fasting day on green sludge again. I seem to have found my groove on this stuff. Hope everyone else is ok.
I will take up the mantle now and am liquid only fasting today Wednesday 30th . Last fast Sunday got corrupted from liquid only to eating small meal which I think brought me in around 600cals. Taste tested OHs dinner in preparation and had to fix it ... Needed all ingredients to be tasted which was a yummy dish with my ministering a but also blew it and ate

Just finished my yummy licorice tea which is a strong taste no cal and shushes my taste buds for a bit. @rawkaren thinking your green sludge might be a good summer replacement to my green soup, which is usually my comfort evening fluid and full of spinach calvo Nero and kale plucked from the garden

Hats off to hard core liquid fasters I just find the hunger switch doesn't get switched on just if no chewing involved. Have a good fast anyone else going for it today
I'm in today, my liquid fast of the week. Looking forward to giving the whole system a rest. Funny thing is I really don't miss eating today. I have tea, water and diet drinks to keep me going and that's it. Good luck to all liquid fasters today :clover:
Well I am done tried the green drink and it was luvley . Am off to bed, fast tick
@breadandwine Wow - amazing - nearly 48 hours. Well done you. Love the fact that you broke your fast with a glass of stout  Enjoy the next 5 days of eating!

I'm on my 2nd 36hr LOF of the week. Monday went well, hoping today is the same (but it's cold and wet outside so may have to go down the homemade soup route late this afternoon). Looking forward to the results on the scales on Saturday.

Good luck to all :clover:
I'm doing ok today except that my feet are so cold. My cold feet are really becoming a problem on fast days.
