Didn't liquid fast today, just had a small meal this evening. I've decided that it works well for me to liquid fast on Mondays and eat about 500 cal onThursdays. My DH is still eating 600cal on both repair days. I may change this and try both days as liquid only when it warms up; it's winter here. :rain:

One thing that I have noticed is that I don't miss food, even on feed days I remind myself to eat. None of the old "no, I mustn't" I'm just not interested now. :?: How can it be this easy?? I'm more than half way to my goal weight in 3 1/2 months and don't feel like I'm on a diet. Feel so much better in every way. A great WoE.

My DH has lost weight too and is feeling much healthier even though he wasn't far from his normal BMI. We both think this is really sustainable. Yeah!

So appreciate this forum, thanks everyone!
I did what was supposed to be a liquid fast yesterday but I found myself mindlessly nibbling at lunch time and dinner time, just a handful of walnuts each time so not a big issue but it does defeat the point for maximizing health benefits.
Back today from 12 blissful days in Greece. All lovely, lots of swimming, sight seeing and Tavernas. Hard to mentally adjust to the pile of washing to do, and the rain outside.

Gained 2.5kg, so cracking on with an LF today, sure I will shift it reasonably quickly, but its annoying never the less.

So far so good. It helps there is no food in, so I'll just drink black tea and water today, then have a good shop tomorrow morning.

It was so lovely on hols to be able to go around on the beach in my new (Kelly Brooks) tankini, and not feeling I need to keep covering myself up with wraps, as I have done for the last few years.

Anyone else in today?
Good luck with getting back to your per holiday weight. I'm sure the LF will get you back in no time.

Ramadan is over and I'm at my target weight so I'm going to be taking a break from LF. Hopefully I won't need to come back but I know if I put weight on that I have a tried and tested solution.

Good luck to anyone fasting today :)
I'm in today. Just had my weekly shop delivered and it was very tempting as I suddenly wanted a nice bagel! But less of this silly talk, am off to work now. Will be easier there to liquid fast.
I am keen to liquid fast again ASAP hence my presence on this thread. I dropped them to do 5:2 +16:8 but am finding the dreaded plateau annoying so am keen to kick things along a bit. Yesterday I liquid fasted (calories involved) until the evening meal. The plan is I might liquid fast with you guys and gals next Monday.

As to the debate -above I just think what ever rocks your boat, we are all adults here and we have all I am sure done enough of a journey carting around some excess baggage that when we find what works we take to it with gusto and work it to suit how our body responds, our lifestyle and what ever are our pressing health needs to shift the weight and maintain. I take my hat off to those fellow fasters who are actually choosing and doing a proper fast. I will join you in my tweaked version next week.
I would just like to quote from an earlier post of mine re- the status of the sainted Dr M ..........

"His name is Mosely NOT Mosses, nothing he advocates is set in stone and he merely wrote a health book not The Bible. If tweaking is good enough for the good Dr then it is certainly good enough for me."

Ballerina x
Just arrived home and (putting on my smug face) I've lost 4 lbs on the scale! That's since weigh in two weeks ago on Monday, not official weigh in day but I'm really pleased I got those fasts in as has definitely paid off! Lots of eating out but lots of exercise which I guess balanced it out! Wasn't expecting that so very chuffed! Off out tonight with the girls and wondering if I'll even have anything to fit me!
Well done mariposa. I reached the two stone club this morning. So pleased, and less than a stone to go now.
Yay ! Well done Mariposa and Wildmissus. Great news.

I had my first fast-fail yesterday. Really disappointed. I'm finding it hard post holiday, especially with it being school hols, so all routine out of the window. Even my precious Monday fast is not looking possible next week due to a work lunch I need to go to. I'm doing low-carb as a holding exercise until I can get my self-discipline back again.
It's lovely to read about you all reaching targets and being happy. Well done and keep going girls you are all so inspiring.

Well done Matiposa and Wildmissus :)

Don't be despondent minumonline. Even if you just do a light lunch in Monday it could be a fast just not a liquid one couldn't it? Or you could do some form of fasting like 16:8

Take it each day at a time and each fast at a time and don't be too hard on yourself x
Hang in there minumoline it can be a little out of kilter until you find your fasting feet after a holiday. But you will, part of the journey I think for this as a WOL. All the best
Thanks Umleila and gillymary, I'm feeling more optimistic this morning that I will be back to "normal" soon. I will have a light lunch with colleagues tomorrow, and not eat otherwise - there is a salad bar at work, so with a bit of care, I can easily have something under 500cals. I want to re-enforce for myself that office days are fast days (I only go in 2 days a week), as this is a nice, sustainable habit.
