I know it's early for those on the other side of the world, but here in Melbourne, it's Wednesday, I'm fasting and boy, am I struggling already.

I have a sore back at the moment so I barely slept last night and I've woken up grumpy beyond belief. Judging by the fact that I'm thinking about dinner and it's only 9:45 in the morning, this fast may not be a full day!

Hopefully, anyone else fasting today will have an easy day of it! :clover: :clover: :like: :like:
I'm going to try today. I'm hasting a conference so it's difficult.
8.50 am in Brisbane...and I'm in...my second fast of the week.
No not me, although I feel like I am at the moment as I am trying to stop eating crap and stay under TDEE even on feast days. Need to be careful this doesn't start turning into another diet.
I know you can eat chocolate, chips etc with this WOE but I don't want to (for health benefits).

I hear you! Normally, I'm a massive snacker and I'm trying to stop that on feast days, just because I know that my snacks aren't usually that healthy. But it is a fine line between that and just another diet.

Maybe try replacing the chips and chocolate with some fruit etc - I know it's not the same but it's a bit of sweetness and crunch?
I just don't see how fasting two days a week then means you can eat whatever you like (although I know it's not as much as you like). No way of glorifying that will convince me it's 'healthy'.
But yeh then it is very close to just another diet but with two days of no food at all. I'm confusing myself I think.. but it's nice that someone is in the same boat with regards to it all - and we have similar BMI too.

I think the biggest thing for me is that, when I crave chocolates etc, I don't feel as guilty as I used to on other 'diets'. Yesterday was a 'feast' day and I had a tough training session at the gym. When I came home, I wanted ALL THE FOOD and did not feel at all guilty for eating dinner and an ice-cream plus some bikkies later. If this was a normal 'diet', I would have lost motivation and thought I'd failed. Which would result in a few days of justifying eating more crap!
Yeh I guess I need to look at it more like that! I do still feel guilty when I go over my TDEE though which is annoying to say the least.
I'm such an idiot. I accidentally ate two cookies. Two tiny Japanese cookies so probably not very many cals. Ugh. I'm more worried about the state of my mind that I just forgot I was supposed to be fasting. *way too busy*

It's so easy when you're busy - you just fall into habit! Well done for realising and you can get back up and keep going :)
Fast day for me today; Wednesdays are busy and I don't get home til 7pm so that helps! Soup and a 'bulletproof' cocoa for tea... Lush.

have a good day everyone!
I'm in.
Good morning Wednesday fasters! I'm in today, lots of tea to drink and a mug of Oxo to look forward to tonight!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I'm in today for my 3rd fast in this 4:3 week. I'm really not feeling it today but I also don't feel hungry so we'll see how it goes. Have a good fast everyone. :)
Dee
I'm in and hopefully the scales will be kind tomorrow when I weigh in.
