Fasting Thursday 27th August
27 Aug 2015, 03:35
Anyone else starving hungry - I mean fasting today
I was doing ok until I looked at FB, lots of food photos today.
Happy Fasting!!!
In today and yes very hungry but I've had a naughty week...hoping the hunger will pass!
Sipping my tea and trying to keep myself busy until dinner time :)
Hey @wineoclock...I heard on the radio this morning that wineoclock is now in the Oxford English Dictionary as a real word...

Well I heard that here we have included Beeroclock in our dictionary !!
I'm in today & looking forward to luncho'clock - which is in 16 minutes time!
Was doing brilliantly yesterday morning, then ate a couple of bread rolls by accident in the evening and even a small amount of bread always seems to result in a great big increase ... in this case almost 2lbs! Hopefully its water retention (it must be, mustn't it?!) and today's fast will sort things out.

It has to be... I have it too - after a fast day!
I'm in ...... just had a miso soup to tide myself over till dinner time. I don't feel hungry which is good but because of that I can't decide what I would like to eat, yet!
Hola, fasting today. I'm hungry too. But I'm sipping a new tea. Green tea with lots of interesting flavors. I made it into an iced tea. It's got lemon and lemongrass and orange peel.

I think I'm abandoning my experiment with 4:3. It felt too restrictive to me. Or maybe I'm a wimp :?: Back to my Mon/Thur routine. That way it's more spread out, which I seem to do much better with.
It's a little bit of a struggle today but not quite s difficult as over he last few weeks. Back to some exercising - and oh it does feel wonderful. I hope September gets things going again after an August plateau, OH will be returning to his normal activities so we won't be taking time out for coffee and a scone.
@Fitfunk I tried a week of ADF early this year, it was a good change from my successful 52 routine but a week of ADF was all my body could cope with as I was in maintenance. Guess best thing is to avoid crash and burn situations. Experiment yes :clover:
@Callanthe do you know why you get water retention after a fast day? Does it always happen? Is it allied to a certain food? I think a few people get it with bread-type food? I generally avoid bread these days so I don't have to see that big number on the scales!
@WarriorPrincess this was the first time it happened, it must be connected with something else, maybe hormonal, moon phase, political situation in Iceland? Just trying to joke desperately :) I didn't eat bread on the fast day, the day before I stayed pretty low carb... I have the official weight-in on Sunday, I just sneaked on the scale and I shouldn't do it, obviously.
I'm in today, just after 4pm here, just had my cuppa broth...not too hungry today, nice change; had been pretty hungry the last few light days! Sure easier when the belly isn't a-grumblin'! Am thinking about what I can do to break this plateau without risking throwing it all away... am a little afraid of over-restricting, my "history" doesn't show a good track record with that. I think I'll just try being more mindful on normal days; I think I've begun being a little TOO loosey-goosey on those days (OK on light days), and need to be a little less, "Heck yeah, it's a normal day--EAT IT!"
