Fasting today 1st October, 2013
30 Sep 2013, 23:30
OK, big weekend in Melbourne of fish and chips, wine, morning tea at the Hopetoun Tearooms, curry etc etc. I stood on the scales this morning and wish I hadn't as a whole two kgs seem to have reappeared from somewhere.

So, liquid fast to try and undo some damage!
Hey Debs *waves*
Sounds so delicious although I never have found a chippy as good as one back home!
I'm sure next week you'll be back to normal and the pesky 2kgs will have disappeared again :)
Lil
Hi all, Count me in for another fast this week went just over 9pm Sunday to 9pm Monday 24+ hrs. (550 cals) and then the dreaded munches came during the night Midnight so a slice of wholemeal bread and a extra light cheese triangle. Not having breakfast and planning just liquid tea and coffee until a Soup and zero noodle for tea about 9pm tonight. Then through to lunch or possible tea on Wednesday.
Dose this count  as it will be over 63 hrs on about 1000cals.

Was also planning a Fast on Thursday Starting Wednesday night at 9pm through to Friday Lunch. :victory:

Good Luck to all FASTERS
I'm in today, slurping black coffee and trying to plan my day.

Sorry Lincsguy, I can't get my head around your timings to make any sensible comment. I am a simple soul and fast on Tuesday, which means that from after dinner on Monday I just have my 500 cals till breakfast (usually mid morning) on a Wednesday.

Good luck to everyone :clover:
Bumping this thread up again......there must be more of us surely
I'm fasting today. My family visited for the weekend and there was a definite over indulgence of food and drink and I need to get back on track! I'm off to Italy for 10 days on Friday so this week is a last push before my holiday and inevitable amazing pasta and pizza dishes!
I'm fasting today since I'm still home and in pain. I've decided to go off my painkillers today since they weren't really doing anything for me all weekend so far. I'm going to take a slow and gentle wall to the supermarket to get something for dinner. I'm going to try eating only 1 meal today. I'm starving hungry already!! Lots of water and black tea today me thinks. Good luck all who are fasting xx
I'm in! It was at this point yesterday that I caved in and ate all sorts! But today i'm being a bit more mindful about my 'hunger'. Sipping on a Bouillon at the moment to trick my 'hunger' into not feeling left out at lunchtime! I added some chilli for a little kick and got a gob full of fire!!

Feeling much more positive that today will be a successful fast, I can't pinpoint what threw me off yesterday but it won't happen again today!
Hi, It is my first ever fast today. I had cereal and milk for breakfast and planning a tuna salad for dinner. I have had no tea or coffee, just green or chamomile tea all day.
Can i have a cup of soup as long as it is within the calories or is it best to go as long as possible between meals?
Thanks :-)
Welcome to the forum Toni82! You can have anything you want as long as it is within your 500 cal allowance, including coffee and tea. If you are used to having caffiene and suddenly quit you can end up with a massive headache, so take it easy if you are cutting back on caffiene. Most of us have found that eating breakfast or lunch can cause us to flip a 'hunger switch' so eventually we worked out that one 500 cal meal at dinner was a much better option, you'll get it sorted as to what will work for you as you progress. :)
If it's your first fast Toni, have some soup and stay within your allowance. Not everyone saves up their calories for one meal and you need to ease yourself into it at a pace that's comfy for you. Welcome! :clover:
Thank you - I only drink de-caff anyway so not missing the caffeine.
The hunger has calmed down a bit so I will probably make it until dinner at 6 pm now! thanks for the support :-)
fasting today- I tried yesterday but just couldn't face it. Today is going better but I am super hungry and wondering how to get through the afternoon.
I had a coffee blended with tsp of coconut oil ( 40 cals) for breakfast- so delicious - the secret lies in blending rather than stirring.
I felt really faint around lunch time so had a miso soup (20 cals) with a teaspoon of coconut oil (40 cals).
Now I am going to try and make it until supper time ( although i do have a boiled egg with me just in case).
Any hunger busting tips for the afternoon anyone?
Good luck 5:2ers!!
B :-)
Lots of water or any other liquid of your choice. Welcome and good luck :clover:
