I hope this is a tranquil appetite day for all my fellow fasters.
Like everybody else here I have also overeaten severely on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as I made some biscuits and cakes for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, once let loose and the gates are open I am off... Today I am firmly reined in and the gates are shut. Why is moderation so difficult? Why can I do a 36hr water fast with almost no problem and then I cannot restrain on eating days? Sometimes I think I have cracked the whole "food adjustment through fasting" just to be completely proven wrong again.
It proves to me that like life our WOE is a "one-day-at-a-time" approach. Last Wedndesday I hit an all time low with my weight but this morning (weekly weigh in for me) I weigh almost 3lbs more. But luckily I am still within my maintenance range.
Good luck everybody.
I'm fasting today. Got 150 cupcakes to make. Easy!!!
This is my first real fast day in a long, long time, I reached target a while ago and since then I have just used an eating window when my weight increased a bit, but my weight has been gradually creeping up and is now slightly over my maintenance window so I am going to fast three days this week and three next to try and get down to the lower end before Christmas, I don't want to start next year way over my target!
@JennyH10 yikes, 150 cupcakes? And I was debating on whether to make 12 for the kids or not as I have some frosting in the fridge I need to use, I was thinking it might be a bad idea on a fast day but if you can make 150...
Good luck everyone
Not even hungry today but tormented by thoughts of hot cross buns!
I seem to be getting my seasons mixed up like @SSures gettin dates mixed up!
Sorry about yr neck / shoulders @SSure its so miserable to be in pain, hope its eased now x
I'm fasting today, but so sleepy, I can barely remember wanting to eat. I blame the Patriots! At least they won, though it was ugly.
@jennyH10 my gosh,150 cupcakes? You can do that and not eat one or lick the icing? Respect! X
Well done those who've finished, those who' ve nearly finished, those with still a little way to go! X
We've all given our systems time to rest and repair x
I use it in cooking. i make scones with it rather than adding milk and egg. Today I used it instead of ricotta cheese for the filling of the lasagne rolls.

I adapted this recipe. I had to use fresh lasagne and cut it into strips as you cannot get lasagne rolls in my part of the UK. I used spring onion instead of shallots. I used a mix of half fat mature cheddar and hard italian cheese for the blended cheese because couldn't find a blended cheese. I used half the amount of filling but made the same amount of butternut squash sauce because my "noodles" were different. I had 5.5 noodle rolls as a potion and it came out at 319 cals per potion. They were lovely and meat free as well but I cooked a piece of chicken to go with it.
It's a relief as autumn was strange food wise time for me, in the middle of nowhere type feeling, not quite sure what to eat, salad, or warm veg on a fast day.
Made a fab hearty carrot and leek soup this eve, popped in 4 cloves of fresh garlic, half a bunch of coriander, a couple of slices of ginger, one chilli and some turmeric and cinnamon. Whizzed it the liquidizer and a small dollop of greek yoghurt on top as it ended up pretty 'hot'. Four small individual servings in the freezer, no idea how many cals (I don't count) - anyone want to guess?
Welcome home @rawkaren - forget the food, did you sleep horizontally? Best bit?
