Good morning all. Raining here today so no bike for me :( . I am fasting today not sure of dinner this evening, trying to use up the things in the fridge before my trip to uk on wednesday so may not be a fastday dinner. I like the idea of using a muffin tin for puds @sallyo, may have to give that a try. + clocks spring forwards, so it's lighter later. No need for google @Juliana.Rivers, it's all over the news here, we're hearing there are 40 hostages still being held. I hope they all get out. Thoughts are with them.
Good luck today Monday fasters :) Lets make it count before the holidays :) :clover: :clover: :clover:
Yep I'm in too - feeling strangely motivated after a bad week last week (one day 8:16 window, the second sort of fell apart altogether) and an overindulgent weekend. BUT I reaslied this morning that I have lost three inches off my waist since I restarted, and that makes me feel grrrrrrreat! So look forward to a day of a couple of Ryvitas and a Cook ready made meal this evening - yes I know home coooked is best, but I do that every other night of the week!

Good luck everyone.
Good morning everyone. It's a while since I was on the forum. I have followed 5:2 on and off through the year and managed to keep my weight more or less where I want it. I have now had an knee op and I am worried I will gain. Normally I would take the dog out for a couple of hours each day and I am now pretty much immobile. I'm fasting today but have to eat 3 times a day because of the drugs I am taking, any suggestions?
Sallyo wrote: @KataMac: Just saying, if you had daylight saving in Qld, wouldn't our 5am be 4am? Or is it the other way around?

Other way around. I wake when it gets light and birds start chirping, so 4:30/5am at this time of year in Qld, which is a much more respectable 5:30/6am in NSW/VIC/Tassie.

How about some cottage cheese, a couple of table spoons before any drugs? Or an egg, soft boiled or poached? Or veggie soup?
Good morning all from Bristol UK, I'm fasting today and actually looking forward to it for the first time in weeks.
Had a weigh in this morning and pleasantly surprised... I'm down 6.5lbs since starting this woe six weeks ago.

It's not been easy, no massive loss at the start but steady loss overall

@Swedey, many congratulations on the 3inches, that's impressive. :)

I'm in for today as it's one of my usual 4:3 days.
Good night everyone. Glad all our Sydney forumites are out of danger and some people have lost inches and weight. It's been a good day, not too hard. I don't know if I managed 500 calories. I had a big piece of leek and broad bean and feta frittata, and followed that with a small piece of cake with cream and strawberries and raspberries - it had to be eaten up! Roll on breakfast tomorrow and keep on the job you people to the west.
I am fasting today, although it really is a eating window. It is nearly 2 and haven't eaten anything (much) yet. I was going to join Sallyo in fasting, but she has probably gone to bed by now in her summertime. We have an almighty storm here with dark, cold and rain. So when husband and I walked in the storm to the shop, they were offering coffee, I had half a cup with a little milk AND a very, very thin ginger biscuit. You see, today I am pushing my break-fast back one and a half hours. To 16:30. Because we're going to a carry in Christmas party tonight. Eating at 16:30 I can eat in peace at the party tonight. I am taking a large plate of deviled eggs. Husband taking short bread that he made.
Only about a week of this kind of fasting left before Christmas. so far I have lost about 1,5 kg.
Lets get this fast day over and done with, eh?
I'm in today! Thus begins week 7... so glad to have a fast day again. After five Christmas-related parties and one hen night in 10 days, I'm a bit worried I won't like this week's weigh in. I don't 'feel' like I've gained much, but I was up 200g last Friday... I need some motivation to keep going! It feels a bit like running a gauntlet, this time of year, with delicious and less-healthy treats being hurled at you from every side...

Very worrying the situation in Sidney, by the way.. been on the news here nonstop all day. :(
I'm in today. Just got back form driving my eldest to see about his teeth braces and dropped him at school. First time I have driven to the place and it was a bit daunting but I managed it (even with not too much swearing  ). I am having Gnocchi tonight for dinner and will probably have a cup of coffee in a little while. Not sure what to do this afternoon so much to do not sure where to start.
As for the events in Australia I do hope they conclude it with no one getting hurt.

NB Juliana, I understand your nervousness. I could make lots of comment about the situation that has arisen, but won't...

Yeah me too but i refrain too.. way too political for this forum.. Its gooing to be a long night for the hostages.. its 12.26 am. 16 hours already held captive. assailant made them "turn the lights out" about 3 hours ago. Oh and the poor spouses, kids ad family and friends whose loved ones didnt come home from their work day or day in town... how awful.

Honestly a nightmare for every one trapped inside and hope that with some good luck, good management or bravery, I wake up it will be resolved by then
I am in the same position as most here. Glad to be fasting - and already half way through the day and not really hungry yet. I think I ate two days' worth of calories yesterday....
I'm checking in! Looking forward to a great day :)
Time to go home :) Looking forward to fish curry. I hope my fellow fasters' days are progressing peacefully (appetite-wise).
