Early start here in Tasmania, 5.30am now. . The birds are making so much racket I had to shut the french doors. Woke up early, which doesn't please me on a fast day as it makes the day so much longer. Finishing off my Christmas cards over a black tea and then on with the fasting day: yoga today, posting the last parcels and cards, bottling elderflower cordial, and making Christmas puddings. Last year I made little puddings in a muffin tray and that worked really well, so I'm doing the same today. Then I'm going to tidy up the very messy study, (you can hardly get in the door!) and I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Full day. Eggs and leeks for dinner tonight and a green salad.
Morning Sallyo. I've been awake since 5am - damn Queensland, the backward state, not having daylight savings. Fasting today, usual Monday fast. Having a cup of tea, and will keep going on tea and water until brekkie tomorrow.
Hi Sallyo and Katamac, I heard son leaving for work at 5.00am but managed to get back to sleep until about 6.30. Now at work with a cup of black coffee. It was a huge weekend with lots of eating and drinking and more eating and drinking so I feel exhausted and very very fat!!! Oh well it was a great time and so well worth it.
Heres to a great fast and hopefully an easy dentist visit for you @Sallyo
I feel exactly the same as you Wineoclock. Very happy to fast today. Last week of proper fasting then 5 &1/2 weeks summer holidays where I'll probably use eating windows and aim to maintain. That worked well for me last year.

It's still Sunday here in the UK! Well... 3 minutes until Monday. Which makes that 3 minutes until my fast day. Spending the day doing yoga, working and packing to go to see my family for the week. Not sure what to have for dinner!
Hi everyone, I will be in once morning gets here on Monday. I have one more week before my 1 year physical (which I can't wait to go for the first time in my life because I want to see the results and appreciate the look of surprise on my doctors face when she calculates all of my numbers and blood work) so I believe this week will be a strict 4:3, and then I can enjoy the holidays - back to 5:2. Enjoy the fast, see you at the other side.
Fasting again will indeed be a relief after this past weekend! I am all done eating until tomorrow dinner. Weight is slowly decreasing again--very slowly, but given the holiday food fest, that's wonderful.
Im fasting today but found myself eating wasabi peas. I think im nervous and distracted with the hostage crisis now on our shores.. if your away from Australia google Martin Place hostages.

My thoughts are with the 13 people inside the building.. I was there on the day of the terrorist arrests in Sydney in September this year where they claimed there was going to be some awful occurrence in Martin place.
Im in too for 1000 cal fast. Good luck all.
Oops! Had to stir rum into the fruit mince mixture and had to taste test it, didn't I!

I am right now working out our xmas food - xmas eve, xmas lunch, special treats to hang in the tree/give to people. For some reason, doing it on a fast day seems like a good idea... :?: :confused:
This is my first chance to check out the forum today. What an early start Sally! But it is nice to be up early on these balmy summer mornings :) tho it may not be balmy where you are?? We have had a lovely weekend weather wise. I didn't overindulge too much, but I am fasting today in preparation for the festive season.

@KataMac: Just saying, if you had daylight saving in Qld, wouldn't our 5am be 4am? Or is it the other way around?
