Feeling unable to meet the challenge of Determination Monday...so am doing a 16:8
Well done those of a stronger disposition who are making this a Marvellous Monday of fasting and repairing! XX :like: :clover:
@wildmissus I've never really felt the cold on just fastdays alone just a bit chilly, my feet are always hot probably due to my problems but my hands get painfully cold any day of the week and the same throughout the summer,
its a nightmare preparing salads
( I'm going to mention it whenever I see the doc)
Was thinking Reynard's only because a friend said it could be.

For you working and feeling cold while there is not a good combination and a change is as good as a rest. Sue
@wildmissus sounds like a good idea to shift to yr shift days!
I never feel cold whilst fasting, tho i know the feeling you mention..i used to always get it at 4 pm every day when i wd go into a dip...felt grumpy, cold, miserable, until i ate something, always something carby. Thankfully since 5: 2 those dips never happen now x
I am fasting today too. Have a great day, all!
I've fasted today, a good day! Off to bed as it's close to midnight.

Happy fasting everyone! :)
Hi

Only just noticed Wildmissus post about being cold. I am always cold during fast days and wear extra layers at work to try and compensate, which never really works. I am one of those people who feels cold very easily and always wraps up extra compared to the rest of my family. I'll be wrapping up in a nice warm blanket tonight while watching a bit of telly. Anyway just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this.
Cooked bolognaise sauce for dinner tomorrow night, as it always tastes better the following day, but I am sooooo tempted to have it for dinner tonight. :starving:

The planned dinner was soup so I'll try to stick to that for OH and me, and cook pasta for our daughter.
Since I'm going to be visiting my son in 10 days, and eating my head off at his new restaurant, I will be doing a different fasting schedule for the next couple weeks, which means I won't be checking in with my usual M/Th fasting buddies.

I'll still be fasting, though. W, Sa, and Tu this week, and then Tu and Thu the first week of October when we get back.

I go to a big conference in the latter part of October, too--lots of food there--so I'll be having to do the same thing with my mid-October fasting.

It will be a relief to get back on to my regular schedule, but it's good to know I should be able to prevent most of the worst by maintaining my usual 2000 calorie a week deficit.
Two more hours to my tuna and salad and greek yogurt ...

I get the cold hands and feet too so wrap up warmly when fasting :0)
Reasonable Monday for my usual 4:3. Just getting ready for my evening paddle :) It will be hard to top last week's night-time paddle with the amazing Harvest/Supermoon. :)
I'm just about through the day.
Recommend New Covent Garden slow roast tomato soup..190 cals for whole carton. Yum!
Still got some cals left for yoghurt and fruit for supper.
Thank goodness its bedtime. I only had about an hour sleep last night as the toddler was sick. Thats another fast under the belt.
Good luck to you guys on the western side of the Atlantic who are still fasting. :clover:
Fasted today 1st proper one for a while, just want to keep within my maintaining range.
I had a good fast today, last hour of the day to get through, then I can go to bed. Cooking down the beginning of the last batch of garden tomatoes. We had the same cold summer as Peebles, everything is already dead. Otoh, the freezer is filled with tomatoes, zucchini & ratatouille, so fasting this winter will be considerably easier. Have a good week everyone.
