Hope you all had an enjoyable Easter even though Easter Monday hasn't finished yet!
My OH & I are in after a wonderful family lunch yesterday that was more calorific because of the wine rather than the food that was Italian/Spanish based with cold meats, cheese & a spinach mushroom salad followed by prawn & bean pasta, fresh fruit salad & cheesecake. So leftovers of salad, mozzarella & chorizo & ham for supper tonight & only water & coffee throughout the day. I have just cycled 13 Kms so hoping to keep my weight loss creeping downwards
I'm not sure if I'm in or not today. I've had a lovely weekend with more chocolate than I would normally eat (but not as much as other easters) it's the last day of the school holidays and I really don't feel like fasting. I haven't had anything yet. Was thinking will eat today, fast tomorrow and then try a back to back on Thursday Friday. Not sure I could even do a back to back. May be should just be 5:2 this week. I wonder if this is just my head trying to talk me out of fasting again. Ok I'll see how I go, If I don't fast today I will definitely fast tomorrow.
Dee
I'm in the same boat as @justdee. I'm not sure if my head is in the right place for a full on fast today. It is probably yesterdays very carb filled day thats causing sugar dips and downers. My lovely polish neighbor has just brought over a plate of Polish hams, something in gelatine and mayo based salads for us as well and they look delicious.

I also am feeling the withdrawal effects of the tablets I'm trying to come off and feeling very sorry for myself. A solid fast will help with the feel good factor so I will persevere as long as I can today.
I'm in today as well! We had Chinese food last night, so I know the scales would be ugly if I stepped on them today. I'm going to try to drink extra water to flush out all of that yummy SALT LOL

No eating until 6pm. We're going to have big salads for dinner, since it's going to be warm and sunny in upstate NY, with high temps around 71F/21C I get some nice grilled lemony chicken breasts at Trader Joe's. So far I have lots of baby spinach, a bit of local butter lettuce, cucumber and local carrots. I think I need to find some tomatoes, a red onion and maybe see if there are any radishes to add in. I'm not a fan of hitting the market on a fast day, but a salad without tomatoes or red onion is just a bit sad.
I think that's exactly what it is @Julieathome a sugar dip. It's 2pm here and I've still only had a coffee, will try to stick with it as I'm half way there now. Head still telling me to have some lunch but I'm not actually feeling hungry. Just trying to keep busy cleaning the house. :)

I have to sort out the family lunch soon as its my day for housework, which doesn't help. I think I will see if they fancy a half fast themselves. They could do with it after the bread, pizza and pasties plus chocolate we all had yesterday. At the moment I'm craving roast lamb of all things.
Making today a 16:8 or 18:6 or whatever is still a good fasting time especially if your not in the mood @justdee@Julieathome Don't beat yourselves up.
Enjoy your last day with your daughter Dee then refocus for your next available day. Good. Luck. :clover: :clover:
Am in today! it's a bank holiday in the uk and I am doing a bit of work in the kitchen, so a bit tempted by the food! Had a grapefruit and a bit of soup so far, dinner is going to be the rest of the soup over a tiny bit of rice and some steamed broccoli.
I'm in today my carbs have been creeping up a little and so my weight is following. Am cooking roast tonight as I'm hoping all the boys will be at home; they were scattered over the place yesterday. If I just eat the veggies and veggie sausages that will keep within my calorie allowance. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow even though I love my job, I've had a fabulous two weeks off.
I am out today, well and truly!! Decided to go out and enjoy the sun and had and accidental picnic, so much rubbish was eaten, and then realized I was meant to be fasting today, will jump back go the wagon tomorrow and have a proper fast!
Good morning, all. I'm in today &looking forward to it as we enjoyed rich Easter hams, sausages cheeses, cakes & chocolates yesterday. I didn't go crazy, I really enjoyed them, but in the back of my mind, I was looking forward to a good fast today to give my body a break. One thing I am really enjoying is eating slowly - a kind of a mindful thing - I enjoy everything so much more and it tastes so much better! One more benefit of 5:2 :)
At it again here, too.

We'll be going on a vacation at the beginning of May, and there is no way I'll be fasting. I had thought of throwing in another fast day this week, but I decided not to, as I'm already having a bit more trouble with eating normally on non-fast days than is usual for me. Too much fasting could push me in the direction of an unhealthy relationship with food.

So I'll just get through today, which after an effortless fast last Thursday is showing signs of being more challenging. I'm hungry already and it isn't even 10 AM. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day . . .
An August holiday is my target.
Bank Holiday Monday Fasting .... Yikes!!

I'm fasting today too. All going well until about 4pm & now I'm bored & could eat a scabby horse ... but with a little encouragement, I'm going to stick with it. You see, I'm usually at work & don't get home until 5.30pm & by then it's time to prepare my meal which I eat at 6pm.

So .... just a little while to wait & then I shall prep & eat my evening meal at the usual 6pm. Then about 9pm I have a Cadburys highlights hot choc.

Work days are easy peasy ... I'm just struggling slightly today as I have time on my hands.
Oh & I forgot to say: good luck to all you fellow fasters today :clover:
