I won't be licking beaters, but I do love to eat the skin that forms on custard when its cooling. As I'm making a ginger, pear and cider trifle today ready for Xmas Eve dinner, I will have to be very, very good.

oh cruel life, how often do I do trifles? Just once a year and this year I can't eat the custard skin, boo hoo!
After overindulgence yesterday, back fasting. I feel much better for it. Next fast in a week. But will reduce what I eat via cutting out breakfasts most days.

I did a smash and grab raid into Sweets of London in Perth and bought some goodies, 6 pack of walnut whips, twiglets, mini Cheddars, Walkers cheese and onion and pickled onion crisps, topic, caramac, and the list goes on!!! Only my credit card took a hammering, none shall pass my lips. Now in the lounge before my flight, and all I am having is a tonne of caffeine, keeping well away from the food trays!! I am determined to be good today as I am cooking for victory tomorrow and no doubt will be doing some tasting en route!!

Mmmm, home made meringue, what a lovely thought!!! And yes @nursebean, a butterscotch angel delight

CARAMAC! Can't remember when I last had one of those. Must have been at least 40 years ago.

Yes I'm fasting today too. Still repairing from last week (and getting ready for the next few.....) Happy fasting everyone :like:

CARAMAC? I haven't SEEN one of those for 40 years!
I ought to, but is not sure I can keep my dinner portion of the Christmas ham (oven baked) and oven fried potatoes to 500kcal…..especially hard not to drink more than one glass of wine…..Will see, I do it as it goes along…Otherwise Thursday will be a good day to fast.
Tomorrow is Christmas in Sweden
I was and was kept busy in crowded supermarkets. I only went out for 'bits' and ended up visiting 3 of them. When I got home there were home made puff pastry sausage rolls on offer and now the tin of sweets has been opened. Still, I will stay strong and not have any milk in my tea! Looks like it's a 16/8 for me today and I will probably 16/8 most days over the holiday. I haven't been very good recently (don't tell Santa) but miraculously have managed to maintain. Still, I don't think I will put on my lost 18lb in a few days so I'm not worried. I am wearing a pair of skinny cords today that I got for £5.00 in a sale in M&S a couple of years ago. They wouldn't go up my legs without a struggle but now they go up and down without being unzipped. Hope I don't sound like I'm bragging....... I still have an apple tum, a flat bum and a long way to go yet!
Hi Wendy!

I know what you mean about going out for a few bits and you come back laden with stuff!! I am struggling a little this afternoon but trying to stay strong :-) and no you're not bragging at all, love the sound of the skinny jeans, that's fab! I am more of a bootcut kind of girl lol!!
have a lovely xmas and wonderful new year! xx
I am in for my usual Monday, much needed as over the last 5days a tin of Quality street has vanished and I know I am the main culprit. I will try to only have evening meal tomorrow and hopefully fast on Friday again. If I could only be sensible on non fast days life would be so much easier   :curse: Hope you all have a successful repair day and a wonderful Christmas :clover:
Monday fast - done! I made some reeeeeally bad food choices last night and so it's difficult today cos my appetite's revved up  really annoyed with myself but at least I've made it through today. Had some scrambled eggs and my sugar free jelly for tea. Early night me thinks!

with a BMI like yours don't be too hard on yourself, lol.
Monday fast completed with a spicy chicken M&S fuller longer meal & banana & yoghurt with a naughty addition of a few apricots in Drambuie! Well it is nearly Christmas & very few treats have been eaten yet.
It's next morning now. I went over my calories last night. 2 glasses of wine and dessert. It's ok. It's too hard to make a yummy dessert for a crowd and not have any myself. I had a child size though and only one sausage - I wasn't planning on having any sausage - but everyone else had 2. I do feel a tiny bit sorry but it's ok, it's ok. Xmas will soon be over and things will return to normal. Meanwhile, enjoy! Merry Christmas all!
Well I made it through to dinner calorie free on black coffee and water and I’ve just had a 300 calorie dinner so I’m feeling quite pleased with myself today.

Happy Yuletide x
I suppose I could claim 16/8 but calorie wise I shudder to think however I did say I was going with the flow over Christmas !
Well done Sallyo!!
I managed my fast and ended the day with a small glass of sav blanc for dinner and stayed under calorie so I was pleased. Today have been good so far, well until I had to 'clean' the Xmas muffin bowl!!
OH, never mind, I'll do 16:8 this week & do the best I can after Christmas. Seems too soon to be taking a break already, but I refuse to let my holidays be ruled by guilt & shame over food. I know I won't go crazy, so I'm confident I'll be back on 5:2 next week. Happy Christmas to all.
