Drink interesting, eg. fragrant (iced) teas, coffee with cardamon/cinnamon, lemon/orange infused water ... If you're lucky to be retired, go for walks or watch tv ! Hang in there!!
Come on, @SkinnyJeans, you know how to do this! Keep busy, keep hydrated - and the hunger pangs will pass! :victory:

Thanks BookishCat. Drinking lots, think I will allow myself a miso soup shortly. Tackling a huge basket of ironing as it is not so hot today and then I'll take the dog out. Hopefully that should take me up to dinner, fish salad for me and OH just has Spanish chicken to reheat so I can stay away from the kitchen and temptation. Thanks for the support x
BookishCat wrote: Try lemon and ginger ice tea, with a few leaves of mint... works as a replacement for me ! Above all, stay indoors! :D

I don't have lemon, ginger, or mint either haha! I'll have to live with plain water until tomorrow. It's getting calmer already, but still not possible to go out in...

Thanks StowgateResident, I know I just need to complete this first fast and I'll be back in the swing of it. Although I'm a bit hungry and grumpy, waking up tomorrow with a lighter feeling tummy will be well worth the effort. Thanks for the support x
I'm in today - feeling reasonably motivated after an encouraging weigh-in last week. Today is going really slowly though!
Mmmhhh, this miso soup is really good :)
Just one more hour at work, then I will distract myself with few Doctor Who episodes untill dinnertime.
I'm in today too. Not doing too badly, a few pangs and a bit light-headed but it'll be OK.
I'm looking for a new job as my contract ends soon so I've been distracting myself over the lunch-hour with LinkedIn and job boards - and just had a recruitment consultant call me about an application so that's good news :)
Sending mojo and a big encouraging cheer to all who are fasting and struggling today!
I'm in today. Drinking the sparkling water and trying to delve into some work projects.
Office offers sparkling water, so I usually bring a lemon in to mix things up, but today I brought in my own mandarin orange flavored fizzy water for variety.
@BookishCat, I'm in the U.S. and I have vegetable broth cubes with a tiny blob of coconut oil for a late afternoon snack. I'm in today, not yet 9am here, so I've "just begun"! Will check in later...
@fitfunk 'office provides sparkling water' do you have one of those carbonating machines? I'm on it!
Forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer :frown: it could be a very late dinner as I really want chicken! May have to compromise.
Hello @Bookishcat and welcome to the forum. Talking of books, I'm looking for a holiday reading list, well some recommendations .... so might bump up an old book thread shortly.
Hello @littlereddragon and welcome to the forum. I'm feeling quite nostalgic about my early days of 52. Such a fabulous journey, so hang in there all newbies :clover:
I'm in today as usual. Had an 8 day break in France with no fasts and much less fruit and veg than usual ( and more wine). Consequently I've had and up turn in weight and fat% on my tracker. 2 weeks to try and put it right before we're off on holiday again for 2 weeks. Fasting is going pretty well considering recent excesses.
@Lizbean I recently read a book called The roundabout Man by Clare Morral which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am planning to take Us by David Nicholls on my holiday. Before that I have to read a Terry Prachett novel (my 1st) for book club.
I'm done. Probably more like 800 than 500, so not great but not bad. Next fast on Wednesday I'll crack it  hang on in there guys x
I was in today. Nothing but camomile tea all day. Chicken in tomato sauce with spiralised courgette and cherry tomatoes for dinner. Had a glass of diet coke (don't judge me) and will have tea with coconut milk for the rest of the evening. I fully expect to be down 1lb by tomorrow and a 1lb closer to fulfilling Penny's challenge.
Come on everyone. Once you put your mind to it, it's easy :victory:
@lizbean no carbonator (soda maker), but the office does supply cans and bottles of sparkling water. I try to save some for the others
This is the time of day I start to get jealous of the Euro contingent as they wrap up the fast day. Which I realize is ridiculous as we are all on the same 24 hours to a day schedule, regardless of time zone!
I bought some fancy tea, but alas forgot to bring it to work with me. Maybe tonight! Or next fast day...
Good luck getting through the rest of the evening to those of us still awake and at it :sleepy:
