I'm in too

@Julianna. Please take care
Count me in for my usual Monday. Only another 7hours to go and I can have dinner an omelet I think as the eggs are backing up on us. Clever little hens. Hope you all have a good day.
There's nothing better in the world @nessie than fresh eggs I think. Cooked in butter!
Argh, struggling.

I'm home today revising for an upcoming exam, my husband is off as it's Bank Holiday.
He seems to be spending the day snacking on all of the known food in the universe whilst sitting right next to me.

Argh!
@Damson, that is grounds for divorce! Im a bit confused as how you are on a 2nd fast of the week. :?: or is that you 2nd week doing a 4:3 ?

@Julianna, take care of the legs. I hope the clot sorts itself out soon. :clover:
Sorry it's me confusing myself, I started this WOE last Saturday so it's my second ever fast today.

I should count my first one as a trial run, and today as my first fast of this week.
I was in today. It's 11.30pm in Melbourne, or close enough. I had a great fast day, really pleased with keeping just below 500 cals and it wasn't difficult. Late in the afternoon I got hungry, but was able to remind myself that it was only an hour or so till dinner time. All the very best to everyone fasting today. :geek:
@Julianna I didn't mean to tear you up. I did however say it with my heart, that's me.
My ears prick up when anyone talks about blood disorders as I was a haematologist.
So glad it's not full blown dvt.
Just take care of yourself.
I'm in today for my usual Monday liquid only fast. If I find it hard going I have some eggs but NEVER carbs on a Monday, it is the only 'set in stone' thing about Mondays for me. Juliana, I also hope things settle down for you, do take care of yourself,

Ballerina x
I have had a very successful fast and just about to sleep. Fluid fast as well , like you @Ballerina Mondays are fluid fasting days for moi. Got heaps done as well. Hope everyone has a great fast cheers
julianna wrote: I teared up when I read your post @carieoates. Its so nice to feel cared about from your friends across the world. This clot is not a DVT but more superficial. I am a varicose veiny person and I have a clotting disorder called anticardiprin antibodies ( it can affect pregnant women with multiple miscarriages or small birth weight babies and the preventative treatment is low dose aspirin). This clot is below the knee and hard and painful but the ultrasound showed I had a partial blockage in the vein in my upper thigh and my doc said this was the one that is a worry as its close to the main vein. The injection is clexane and the only reason I have to do it twice is so it was on the pbs and reduced cost. I apologize for this on your fasting thread but I think I may have contributed to putting you all off your food
Xxx julianna

yep! put me off my food, I suffer with veins, and have had something called flebitis a couple of times after having children. Even though I have had four children I still get very lightheaded when someone talks about veins! Hope it gets better for you soon X
Oh woe is me. Do I eat dinner or don't I. I am part way through making the hairy Dieters Korma for the lads, my first time making one from scratch and the smell of it has me drooling. I usually have a liquid only fast, but, at just under 300kcals I can fit a portion in with some vegetables (maybe courgette spaghetti). Decisions, decisions!
I seem to have made it until dinner time so I am definitely in. Salad awaits.
Well its evening time. For about 50% of my fasts everything goes great and I hardly notice. The other half are like today: I'm ratty, cold, headachey, shakey and really tired. I take iron and multi vits and lots of fluids. What I do eat tends to be low fat, high protien like eggs, chicken or fish and leafy greens. Any idea what I am/ am not doing right? Im miserable today :frown:
Hi all..new to forum. Today has been my first fast for several months... so was bit edgy to see how it would go, but have made it through the day with lots of water, tea and sn apple, without too much trouble. Just about to tuck into a massive salad with falafel .....yum...saving a bit of space for fruit and yoghurt later this evening.... not there yet, but its looking like a promising return to fasting which was previously a great success. If all goes well today I'm planning to be in again on Wednesday. I am looking forward getting to know you guys and to offer support if I am able.
