October 27th is my very first fast day. Thank you to everyone who said they are fasting today. You give me hope.
Day going well so far....... spent the morning doing washing and cleaning the shower! I know too much excitement for a Monday! :) Just having a coffee before finishing off and going to the shop. X
First one checking in from the Americas? I am in today, not my usual because I was away on a conference last 4 days ( food and snacks 5 times daily provided  ). I tried to do eating windows, low carb and have gained only 1 or 2 pounds. Looking so forward to just coffee, tea, miso soup, etc. Will also plan on Thur. fast as I have another day-long conference on Wed, my other usual fast day.

Haven't checked in for the Christmas challenge for a while because I am stalled  . Hope this week's efforts get me back on track.

Good luck, all you brave fellow fasters either just starting or successfully finished.. :like: :clover:
Haveto admit,pretty darn hungry

Hi everybody, also fasting today. After a not so great weekend (food wise) I am glad to be fasting today. Good luck everybody.
@lisalisalisa they get easier the more you do
It's taken me just over a month and they are part of life now and I have stopped stressing about them ..
Weigh day for me tomorrow so crossing everything that doesn't make me fall of the scales :crossed:
Hello, Monday fasters!

I'm back from my conference and fasting again. I didn't miss any fasts, as I did my Mon/Th last week Sun/Tues, but did I ever eat over the past 6 days!

Fasting feels really good today, so far.
I'm in - very late in signing up!
I'm here! I haven't lost a pound this month but I'm not gaining either. I know it is a slow process and I love the other heath benefits of the fast. Have a good fast day everyone!
Couldntwait any longer to eat..but y' know, think i was more headachey than hungry? Despite drinking a shedload of water. Had 2 veg saus and veg..total cals 225... So some for later if needbe x
I'm in today! @julianna, the fresh eggs sound incredible! Wish I could find some in suburban Las Vegas.

I'm actually making a fairly caloric BBQ chicken pizza for dinner (because I have ingredients I need to use up and I couldn't make it last night), so I'm hoping to put the recipe in my fitness tracker and eat a 400-calorie equivalent slice. It'll no doubt be a minuscule portion...
I am so annoyed with myself. First, I didn't manage my usual 22-24hr fast but broke it around half past twelve with 100g of plain yoghurt. Mid afternoon, more yoghurt and miso soup (250kcals?). Went and visited a friend to see her new baby (ohhh how cute). She offered biscuits which I declined, feeling rather strong. Then I got home at half past eight in the evening and ate two left over spring rolls (husband's supper). No idea what damage that did to my fasting kcals just to top it with three slices of ryvita and butter and ham. (500kcal?). I wasn't going to have anything tonight
Due to failed fast I have resolved to do three fasting days (Wednesday and Friday) this week in order to make up the loss or gain. I will therefore allow myself up to 700 kcals on Wednesday and Friday after at least 20-24hr water fast. This should teach me to not ruin my fast again at the last minute. Dusting myself off.....
I understand your disappointment but don't beat yourself up too much (!) @Ieramul, some (many?) of us have days like that - did you see the weekly poll on this very issue?
For some of us there are fast days that just don't work out that way - you can just move on from that or, as you say, substitute another day. (It sounds like you still ate well under TDEE. :) )
Best wishes. :D
Sh** happens @Ieramul !
I understand yr disappointment tho...i've done this a hundred times...but in the big scheme of things, its just a mini blip
You 've planned to off set the damage,so like you said "dust yrself down"
Or in the words of the song, pick yourself up,dust yrself down, start all over again!
Or as i say,get back on yr horse, clippety clop!
Every day is a chance to start afresh xx
Ps reading a great book called theChimp Paradox which explains why sometimes we do things that in our hearts we really don't want to do!
