I'm in and done! I managed to stick to 548 cals. It's almost midnight in Melbourne and I'm super tired.
A good fast day to every 5:2er. :clover:
Well hello!
Long time no fast - sadly. Have been off the wagon for far too long....and have paid the price.

To help with this new journey, I am going to do a regular blog, I think. Even if no one reads it, it will be good to get all my thoughts down somewhere.

Anyway, there's no point in regrets, I am where I am and today is Day 1 of a new start. Am in with all you Marvellous Monday Fasters and I hope it goes well for everyone xx

Good Idea @Hazelnut20 I find that declaring my intentions to the masses helps me enormously.
Housework is done and just has a cuppa soup and feel stuffed! This afternoon I'll be doing paperwork for the local sailing club as I'm the treasurer (yawn)!

@Ladantrying, great news about your mum.

@Hazelnut20, so good to have you back. Quite a few of us have been struggling recently but we are all still here and still determined to get there. You know what to do and you know how good you felt when you had lost all that weight. Good luck.
I'm very late to the fasting party today but I am in for my regular Monday fast, I'm having one of those running at top speed the wrong way on an escalator days at work :-(

I've had my protein bar (180 cals) and 12 peanuts (70 cals) and have pea , ham and leek soup for dinner which at 270 cals will take me 20 cals over so I shall weigh it out so I don't as I have Equinox Challenge fever at the moment !

However I'm in fantastic mood today after the rugby yesterday .. it was a good day to be an Ireland supporter :clover: :clover: :clover:
I'm in for a fast today too! After 3 days of eating too much...it's a relief!

Congrats Sallyo on your retirement! I am nearing mine as well and am so excited. I have about 1.5 years to go, but it will be here before I know it. I'm doing an early retirement(57) and hope I'm not making a mistake. I've been here for 30 years and I'm just tired of it, you know? Accounting is not the most exciting thing in the world and 30 years of it?! Yikes!

Have good days everyone!
Hello! Congrats on your retirement, and hello to everyone else! I've been gone for a long time, trying other forms of dieting, everything from low carb, Weight Watchers, Low glycemic, 8 hour Diet, etc. Nothing worked as well as 5:2, so I'm back. Also, I'm doing it a little differently this time with back to back fasts and a few more calories per fasting day. I'm so glad to be back!
@Hazelnut I'm back after a long time away. I call this my IF reboot. Starting my 2nd week back. Good luck to you! :clover:
I'm in today. I indulged this weekend per usual, and I'm actually feeling a bit blah after it. Too much fat and salt and sugar don't agree with me. I'm hoping my fast today gives my body a much needed rest and repair.
Congrats to those done with Monday and good luck to those of us still going! :clover:
@Hazelnut nice to see you back and posting. I know how you feel abit because I haven't got an event as such this year I am finding it harder. I keep looking at the lovely summer dresses in all the shops and using that as inspiration.
I've had quite a day today. My eldest was vomiting in the night so off school today, I had to take my Nan to the nurse today as she needed a vitamin shot and my Grandad is too ill to take her. On the way there i mashed my wing mirror. Still not 100% surre how it happened. Enjoyed my dinner though http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/09/butt ... sagna.html I have to adjust the recipe as I am in the UK and we don't have lasagne noodles here but I use fresh sheets cut into strips. I use Quark instead of ricotto too.
@sallyo, What an exciting day. I just logged in and saw your news. I hope you enjoy every minute of your new "retired but earning a lot more" phase of life!

I'm fasting myself. The wind, having noticed that it was March has commenced to howl outside, so it sounds like trains are passing our house when they aren't. I get cold just listening to them, but I needed a day off eating and am happy fasting today.
I'm in and done ! Had my poached egg and smoked salmon, sipping fizzy water, pretending it's a gin and tonic. Happy fast day
I've got bits and pieces to do before I got to bed but dinner was over a while ago and I'll only return to the kitchen to fetch the laundry from the side room and for a bedtime hot drink.

I hope people had a peaceful appetite day - :clover: to those with many more hours to go.
Successful fast today due to leaving the house at 7.30 am and not getting back until 9.30 pm after a swim. Haven't had time to eat so just coffee, tea and water today. Haven't done very well on my March 21 challenge so far!
:rainbow:@Hazelnut20 :rainbow: :my dear friend. So lovely to see your message
