I am in and doing back to back today and tomorrow, because I should have fasted yesterday and went to a party and ate too much in the way of carbs!!
Hello everyone! It's my first time back after a while - isn't the new site posh?!

I'm fasting today - scrambled egg for breakfast, plain yoghurt for lunch and meatballs for supper.

For the first time in ages my doctor did not say I had to lose weight...and when I asked him he shrugged in a Gallic manner and said "You're doing fine. Keep losing slowly" I'm at 88kg (down from 102 kg two years ago) and I'm aiming for 80kg. Yes, it's slow progress but I'm pleased with it...especially as I find it difficult to exercise.
I am fasting today. Feeling ok so far, it´s 1.30pm here in Spain. I sat and watched my OH eat his way through two tapas of croquettes and gambas, the garlic had me salivating. But I was strong! I might need to take a couple of aspirin as I have a niggle of a headache. Is it ok to take perhaps one anadin extra on an empty tummy? Good luck everyone.
I would suggest a dis solvable form of aspirin such as Disprin. What about regular dose rather than 'extra'? Also are you keeping up with extra fluid intake? might help with head. Plain water and many herbal brews are available.....

Headache was side effect for me when first started but it is explained away in literature and should not reoccur onces the fasting habit becomes set up.
LOL@Philxjr yes so start at for example 12pm and finish at 8 pm. The reason being is that you can't eat your cals in the 8 hr window. I have been doing this along side the fasting and it seems to be working out well.
I'm in! Hoping to do a 4:3 this week as I need to do something drastic if I am to achieve the Summer Solstice Challenge! Why did I ever think that three pounds under target was a good idea!
@caboodlez Probably too late but paracetamol is kinder on the stomach than aspirin
Only had a poached egg up to now and i feel good.
My daughter gave me some microwave steam bags, iv'e never used them before but she tells me they cook chicken in 3-5 mins and it's really juicy, so i'm going to put some smoked paprika on them and give it a go (sounds healthy) and have a nice big chicken salad for dinner.
I did well today... kept busy but hard to put off 'the meal' beyond 5 pm. Today it was a boiled egg (leftover from previous salad) with small tin of tuna and some lowfat mayo. Then loads of salad stuff and fresh herbs with splash of balsamic. I think I have saved a bit so can have a snack at bedtime.

I must admit to not being totally scrupulous about adding up calories. It is easier to eat at different time to DH who needs a big feed at 6 pm. He gets the same easily prepared 'onesey' dinner on fast days.
Been out and about all day so easy fast! Dinner cooking now and am already looking forward to breakfast tomorrow!
I'm in too. Stuffed my face yesterday even when I wasn't hungry. Drank lots of wine and gained 4lbs since last Monday. Summer Solstice Challenge is not looking good! Losing the inches tho. A pair of trousers that previously stuck to my thighs and ar*e are now very loose.
THANKS to all the supporters who gave helpful advice re: my mom. I just saw her last month when I was down 20# & no-one noticed. Now I'm down 5 more, but my daughter says it's Webers law of proportion. Since I have so much to lose, it won't be noticeable for another 20# or so, even tho I'm down a size & need belts for all my trousers! I was prepared for this because of this forum, early on, when I was down 10#, I posted a question about wondering when people would notice & a wise soul at that time said the same thing. I will take the suggestions here & not stress about it. I could always just say I'm following the same program as Hugh Jackman, she loves him! Have a good rest of your fasting day. P.S. my actual bday is today, the Queen just likes to celebrate with me. :)
Hubby and I were in today and it has been tough! The normal fasting was fine, but instead of getting home at 19:50 as normal, he got home at 20:40 due to train problems. I waited to eat with him out of solidarity but was feeling faint by the time we ate. He has sugar in his coffee still but was likewise about to start licking his laptop I think  :starving:

Am a bit peeved because I had entered a fage 0% yoghurt with Greek honey into nutracheck and it offered me a 150g pot or per 100g. Turns out (after I had eaten it) that my pot was 170g so I'm 26 calories over. Oh well, it won't break the bank

Hi @MLCDz Happy birthday to you queenie! How are you spending it? Please share. Just back from my Dad's 95th party!

I'm down 20lbs from starting 30 Dec, only another 7 lbs to go to target. I have only received two comments noticing my change, from one colleague and one sister. Interestingly they are outward looking and helpful individuals. So what does that mean - we engage positive peeps on our journey! I'm sure everyone else will catch us up, though it takes them more time? Well done you - I'll be here to cheer you on to your goal. Lizbean  :clover: :clover:
Thanks @Lizbean, appreciate the love  Happy birthday to your dad, I'm not quite caught up to him at 95, that's amazing, hope he had a great day.
I spent today reading, spending tiime w/ my family & spent the evening at a Reiki share with good friends. Great way to spend a day before going back to work tomorrow. Thanks for asking. Happy fasting everyone, see you next week.
