I'm in! Feeling a bit blah, cold or flu bothering me. I'm going for all natural defence against the bugs. Hopefully the fast will give my body a boost. I thought I was over this last week, seems it's quite a stubborn bug. Go as low as you can go fasters!
Hope you're feeling better soon @chinchin
@sassy1 - comments where about dr who? He is more like the dr of my childhood - tom baker!
@peonyblue - wedding? How exciting? I'd love to see pics of the dress as you go!
@sallyo - have you picked a pattern for your outfit yet?
Yes I'm in today but due to the weather I'm not home alone so I need to be extra strong minded today, but I've got a few jobs lined up to keep me busy. :clover: :clover:
@hellengerin: how not to think about food all day: go out of the house; keep busy; have a list of projects. I also like to prepare dinner early in the day when I'm not really really hungry. Then dinner is ready so as soon as it gets to 6pm, I'm able the eat. It is difficult, I find, to prepare dinner when I'm starving and I end up nibbling on stuff in the kitchen. If dinner is ready, I don't have to think about it.
My plans for the Bank Holiday have been blown out by rail disruption (tree on the local line that's fallen in such a way that's it's blocked access to both London and Cambridge).

Plan B is to start in dehydrating the red peppers that I bought on special offer tho' it's raining so heavily that today isn't a good day for that sort of thing. Hey ho.

@Hellengerin A popular saying on another forum is, "Hunger is not an emergency". There's a lot of interest there in combining Hunger-Directed Eating with a fasting schedule and one of the stock pieces of advice for that is to move towards it being possible to acknowledge and 'sit with' an urge to eat (that is not necessarily hunger, but a desire to eat) without acting on it. This tends to be something that people move towards.
I'm in and in bed already. I've gone back to having a tiny lunch some work days because I realized that it doesn't wake up the hungry monster in me . dinner tonight was a chicken thighs with some Napolitana sauce and a tiny bit of fetta and sliced black olives on top with oven baked cauliflower, eggplant zucchini mushrooms with the same sauce on top. My theory is that you can put Napolitano sauce and cheese in anything and bake it in the oven and it will taste good.
Wish me luck everyone. This is my first week of 4:3. As per hubbies request as we are just not losing with 5:2 - my lowest weight was 12 weeks ago and I'm 1.5 KGS more than that now. Monday , Wednesday and Thursday. I wasn't to keen on back to back but beautiful SuzyQ @Sue.Q does it and I just have to keep reminding myself that its worth it to have the weekend Friday night to Sunday night free.
Xx
@julianna] all the best with 4:3. You've done amazingly well so far. It's raining here in Glenbrook again how is it at Warrimoo??
Good night all.
It was pouring briefly about 30 minutes ago and sounded lovely on our metal roof. Now just sprinkling on and off. Nighty night wineoclock.
Xxx
Not in today, did Sat instead coz its a Bank Hol today...good luck Monday Marvels x
Night all. I might have gone a little over today, but a good day none the less. Goodluck on 4:3 Julianna.
Well done @Julianna on completing your first of your new 4:3 Mon/Wed/Fri are great days to do and I sometimes do those three, but yes I actually prefer to fit ina bback2back to keep Friday free to indulge.
I'm such a greedy pig really. Lol
You've done a great job so far and look amazing :like:
But as you know our body decides when its time to let go we unfortunately have no say in the matter. :clover: :clover:
I always save enough calories so that I can have a cup of low fat milk before I go to bed. I put half a tsp of coffee in it for flavour and use a straw to drink it slowly. I still have half of it left. As soon as I drink it all I'm off to bed. Goodnight all.
My cals are over a bit today as well :( Felt so hungry all day, so had some hummus and veggie sticks mid afternoon which ended up being on top of my usual fast day food. Resisted the cake at choir rehearsal, but had a piece of chocolate when I got home...

Good luck with 4:3 @julianna, hope it gives you the boost you are looking for :)

@PeonyBlue, you are probably right that being home can make it harder to fast - as mentioned by Sallyo, keeping busy is the key, which I certainly wasn't today... Is your wedding to be in Adelaide? It is an exciting time, preparing for a wedding. Enjoy! :D

@Karenm, the review I read was in the Sydney Morning Herald http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv- ... 07ssj.html - not sure if this link will work?? Tom Baker was also who I saw most of as the dr, but I must admit I did like Matt Smith and David Tennant in the role. I am sure I will like Peter Capaldi too (I will try not to think of Malcolm Tucker!!)

Soon bed time for me - another going out to lunch day tomorrow...

Happy fasting! :)
Just had some broth with our own added dried tomatoes to bulk it out a little. It's a good lunch for a fast day and I definitely needed something warm with it being so grey and overcast on this Bank Holiday.

As per my previous previous plan, I'm dehydrating peppers (this will taken an age as it's so humid) and grinding some nut butters (meeting friends tonight so I've made peanut butter, roasted cashew nut butter and hazelnut chocolate butter as small gifts for them).
HI Everyone! I'm in today!
Good job to all of you fasting on a holiday! I usually move my fast when that happens. We have a holiday next Monday, so I'll probably do Tuesday/Thursday that week. Just too many temptations when I'm out and about.
Beautiful weather here in New York, best summer ever, really! We haven't had any of those very hot sticky days, just gorgeous sunshine with a light breeze. Spent yesterday at the beach and it was fantastic!
Good luck to anyone still fasting!
