Hi, I'm board today with a fast. Plate full of salad veggie stuff at 5 with a small protein. Happy fasting everyone.
Hi @zamale thanks for starting our day. I'll be with you in the morning. It is a holiday in the UK so I guess some people will change their normal fasting day. I'm looking forward to an egg salad - salad from my garden. Happy fasting everyone :clover: especially newbies and returners. :clover:
Hi all. I'm standing in the street with my I- phone, waiting for a lift to yoga. Still doing Ease-a-Cold so I had toast for breakie. I'm holding it at bay. Lovely sunny day. Noisy birds.
Yep. I'm in. @Sallyo, the birds are getting very loud indeed. I'm wondering how much longer I've got to walk before the magpies and plovers start swooping. On the good side, we are currently learning a piece of music that requires imitating bird song and there is plenty to choose from!
I'm in too after a lovely 3-course lunch yesterday and conscious (!) overindulging for the rest of the day... Ah well. Certainly not feeling hungry yet. :)

Successful fasting everyone! :D

NB enjoyed seeing Peter Capaldi as Dr Who yesterday. :D
Hi @Zamale and fellow fasters. Im in on a glorious day. They have said it will rain on and off all week but theres not a could in the sky at the moment.
Have a great day.
@Lizbean I actually knew it was a holiday in London not knowing much about London except that some of you lovely ladies live in the area. I even know its a bank holiday whatever that means, we dont have bank holidays here in Aussie land. Half of my husbands family is in London as there son is getting married today and he lives in Croydon. I thought is strange that we shared a Monday with Aussies and London but it did occur that Monday could have vast hours apart. Have to look on the world clock.

Bit of chit chat from me.

Hope your fast day is trouble free.
I'm in with you all...cupcakes here at work for morning tea, so I'm sitting firmly in my office, working hard and not being sociable!

I missed Dr Who last night @sassy1  :curse: Unfortunately we're having TV reception issues at our new house, and until we can sort out the antenna, we're relying on DVDs for our entertainment. I'll be iViewing it as soon as the internet gets connected...or when I stay at my parents later this week, whichever comes first! Can't wait to see it!

Very motivated for my fast today - over the weekend I got my dressmakers dummy set up in preparation for testing my wedding dress drafting...couldn't believe how much I had to adjust her in. I haven't been able to weigh for a few weeks now, so it was lovely to see how the measurements had changed
Hi @PeonyBlue

Always a challenge I imagine when there are cakes at work on a fast day. I guess I am lucky?? that I didn't start this WOL til after I had stopped paid work!! Actually, how I wish I had known about the benefits of fasting 30 years ago - good for you for starting now. :)

How frustrating not having internet or TV - hope this gets sorted out soon for you. Often I prefer watching on Iview on my iPad rather than the TV - seems more intimate, and you can of course stop and start as needed. I am sure you will enjoy Dr Who when you do see it. I did agree with most of the comments in the SMH tho. Hope the rest of the sorting out at your new house is going ok.

Great about the adjustments for the dressmakers dummy, you must feel pleased. :) When's the wedding? I probably have read about it in your other posts, but forgotten... Am envious of you being able to sew - I just about manage buttons and very minor repairs...

Best wishes for staying motivated all day. :D
I'm in.
4:3 so this is one of my regular days. Hey ho, Hey ho, it's off to fast we go - even on a Bank Holiday.
Actually @Sassy1, I really admire those who manage to fast when they're home all day. I never manage quite so well on holidays when it's not so busy.

Wedding's on New Years Day...assuming I can get all the organisation happening. Still haven't finalised the venue for the reception. Hopefully will have that sorted this weekend while I'm in Adelaide. I just keep telling myself "keep it small and simple"! Truth is, I probably haven't posted much about the wedding before now...too many other things going on! Maybe I should start a wedding thread and get all the lovely helpful people on here to help get my organising ass into gear!
PeonyBlue, your wedding? How incredibly exciting! And how wonderful to be able to adjust the dummy. My dummy is called Dianna and I haven't sewed since I started on 5:2 but this makes me think that I too will have the pleasure of making those adjustments. My niece is getting married in January and I am planning to make an outfit. I have some gorgeous Chinese silk which I got when i went to Beijing in 2007. My fast day is going well. I have made a Moroccan lamb and beans soup. I will be going out to a meeting at 5pm so when I get home I will be ravenous and dinner will be ready.
Trying again today after a hefty weekend of two curries when catching up with friends and trying to catch up with the fresh stuff in the freezer. 1 lb and an inch gained. Yoghurt and a peach for breakfast I think , and a smoked salmon supper later.
Also trying not to think about food all day, which kind of wrecked my last fast on Thursday. :?: how do you all cope with that?
Happy Bank Holiday, folks.
I'm in today, it's determination day along with @justdee
It's grey and wet here in Falmouth. I reckon our plans will be simple - pop into town to pick up Ka's school skirts, pharmacy for her dressings, do some physio with ka, put up a beach hut roller blind and perhaps start recovering my chaise longue. That lot should keep me busy for a couple of hours
I really, really need to do some bookkeeping this week and might even make a start today :geek: (though it's unlikely  )
Good luck bank holiday fasters
