After failing miserably last week, I am giving this another go. Finding it easier at work! I think i need to keep busy to get through.

Nah - the V&P vary-fairy has just been very busy: according to the scales I put on 2.4lbs overnight! Hurrrmph. I'm pointing my paws at the veggie haggis with Caribbean salad on Saturday (carbs) as I'm pretty certain I didn't exceed my calorie allowance by 8400! Glad it's a repair day for me...

Do you think it's something to do with haggis? I've also had an unexplainable shift in the wrong direction - I blame Robbie Burns!
I'm in today too. Its my third fast day but my first working day shift. So far way easier than when working midnight shift. I brought a couple of egg whites to work just in case and broke down and had then for lunch. Not too bad, 34 cal total.
I' m in...my day nearly over and my meal is beginning to look like it's nearly here at last!
Having said that,it has been a fairly easy day today
Have heard peeps say Mon fast is easier than Thurs fast and i' m beginning to agree! X
I'm fasting today too and this is my 3rd fast day. Its just 11:22am for me and I've had a cup of sweet tea and 2 almonds. I feel the almonds really help. They are so low in calories (7 each) and help in alleviating those pangs.

I was planning to eat just 1 time in the vening but now am having 2nd thoughts - will prob have small lunch.

Are there any medical advantages to eating just once over twice?

Cheers
Hi there

I'm a bit late to this party but I've been fasting today, just 3 thin oatcakes keeping me going (plus the milk in my teas/coffees) - some chicken simmering in some stock with a bit of honey & mustard in, will be slipping in some cannellini beans and crème fraiche before eating on a bed of spinach. No idea on calories, but think it should be ok.
Have also fasted today, it's been really good despite not having done it for many months. Was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Well that's almost my first day done!

I managed with some salad leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a dry cracker at lunch, then had a veggie oxo mid afternoon as my tummy was rumbling. I've had a cracking tea using the recipe on here for roasted vegetables (thank you Carorees!)and a small plain omelette. I was getting grouchy just before I ate, and I think I will find it easier to do on a workday rather than when I'm home all day.
It's my first ever maintenance fast. Indistinguishable from a regular 5:2 fast, except for my continuing light, floaty feeling of satisfaction at being "done". I'm sure I'll come down to earth soon, but am enjoying it while it lasts
Ooof, I'm feeling lovely and full! Didn't eat a thing all day except for an almost-black coffee at half 3, then I've just had a massive 2-course meal: chicken liver fried with mushrooms, onion and a stick of celery then simmered in beef stock, followed by a big pile of stir fried green veg in a bowl of miso soup. Can't believe it, but that's come out at just a little over 500 cal, I think, so well within my 615 limit! This is proper fast no.3 and it's been a cinch. Kinda wish I owned a pair of scales, because I'm getting curious now...
Fasting today - just having my supper meal now. Chicken and veggie stir-fry. Have to avoid soya sauce because of the sodium so it isn't quite as good. But when you're hungry things tend to taste better anyway.Hope everyone is doing well.
Well done everyone for completing your day
After two coffees & water throughout the day we had an M & S Fuller longer meal of Spanish pulled pork that was delicious. I then had an apple so 507 calories & my OH had yoghurt & banana so around 600 calories. So our day went well.
I'm in and fasting on a Monday per my usual, standard weekly way. :)
:clover: everyone! The same to you. :)
