Im in after a weekend of feasting including :
Saturday
- big tomato sandwiches on thicke white bread
- Vegetarian Pasta bake
- Conneisseur icecream (chocolate and pistachio)
Sunday
- Roast duck
- Seafood risotto
- 2 huge slabs of my sister's New York cheesecake

Ive enjoyed the food, now i fast.. why i love love love 4:3. 2 coffees for breakfast, some cheese and cottage cheese for lunch and a light meal of chicken for tonight.

ooops i just realised i shouldnt be talking yummy food in a fasting thread. maybe its ok as we all know why we are here to fast
Just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu - especially when tomorrow I won't be on a diet. I like hearing about food on a fast day. I'm up for a miso soup now. Day going well.

I work with disabled high school students lizbean so minimal crouching. Sometimes runniing and other various forms of activies thru the day with the.Sassy1 I would love a fast buddy, how do i go about that? Sallyo, I am headed to buddings for gardening items then will be out in the garden, have successfully cleaned the house, so will enjoy outside and maybe a swim at the end of the day. Kata Mac, I have been to physio and have exercises. Cycling wasn't mentioned.
Everyone thank you for helping me. I AM enjoying 5:2 and my new size. Not the Drs' oppinion. I have spoken to some other people who have been on cholesterol and read up that once menopause hits, our bodies make jup changes witht he estrogen and that the liver produces extra something that increases the cholesterol.

I'm in for a much needed fast. I need to do a proper one today after a bit of stress eating over the weekend...
I'm in today. Back to work this week after a week off. Have enjoyed a week of catching up with friends. I did manage a couple of fasts but also had lunch out on 4 occasions! :oops:
Very cold here so lots of cups of coffee/tea to keep me going til 6ish.

I'm in. My first fast for this year. Been on a Daniel Fast since 2 January and that's done now so back to my 5:2 fasting and feel so ready to do this. :like:
I'm in today, but for the wrong reason, I've had diarrhoea since Staurday morning , no pain or vomiting but everything I eat goes straight through me. So I'm having liquids only (no dairy) till tonight, when I'll share some of the lamb casserole. Good luck everyone fasting because they want to :smile:
I'm in - usual Monday fast for me; the easiest of the week - Weds are much harder for some reason. Good luck all and @sallyo I hope you have a lovely time in Melbourne :-)
Hello I'm back and rareing to go.
This is my sixth fast since starting back so I'm in the swing of things now.
Fish and salad for dinner and soup for lunch. Good luck everyone. :like:

Tenshi it seems really puzzling that you have gone down three dress sizes & stayed the same weight. Weight scales do vary & you were wearing clothes at your doctors but you have probably toned up & muscle does weigh more than fat? Regarding sore knees do you take an anti inflammatory? I have arthritis in my knees & as I have lost weight they have become less sore & I do find I can walk further now. I agree with the suggestion of seeing a physiotherapist to suggest strengthening exercises & could you see another doctor to get a second opinion?
I am joining you all fasting today & still trying to get back into a better routine with including more exercise to my Jane Fonda DVDS. Only fluids until supper tonight & I hope you all have a good fast day.
I'm in for my usual Monday fast. I had a very stressful weekend which for me means that my appetite is way down so an easy fast day today.
Late announcement, I am in, too. Another 4:3-week, my third this year. My weigh in on 31st will decide whether or not I will go in February or switch back to 5:2.

Just checking in from the East coast of the US. I'm in for a much needed fast today. These winter weekends are killing me as all I do is stay in the house and eat one thing and then another. :frown: In the Spring/Summer, I will be on the golf course all day both Saturday and Sunday......I'm so anxious to get back to that!

This is week 3 for me and so far after 2 weeks I'm up 2.2 lbs. :confused: I'm hoping to see some downward movement on the scale this week. I know I have to get a better handle on my "eating" days.
