Fasting today - Monday the 19th
18 Oct 2015, 19:11
G'day from a "Tomorrow People" :)

It's Monday morn, down in Brissy, and the beginning of one of my fasting days. I hope this week will be more of a success for me (with the food, anyway!) I was very good in the exercise and activity departments last week... But I did overdo the food and drink. That's what happens when you socialise, I guess! ;)
Thanks for starting us today @Fastidious - Yes I am on for my usual Monday Fast.

It is going to be a fine warm and sunny day here in Melbourne, a walk is planned and only water, coffee, herb tea and then the evening meal - fresh fish and salad.

Have a great day everybody
cheers
Maggie
Wow, it's Sunday, 10 pm here... I will join you at the morning. Now bed and sweet sleep before one crazy day at work.

It's unusually cool and overcast, here in Brissy, but it's suppose to clear up during the course of the morning, and I hope I can get a decent walk in. I always have stacks of energy on my fasting days (which I find a bit weird!) Pushing to 8km today. Yup! Same here @Maggiee... Only water and teas, and a nice green salad for dinner. :) Cheers!

Thanks @CandiceMarie. :) These are my two gorgeous girls; Mia (a.k.a Boofy) on the left, and Angel (a.k.a Ratty) on the right. Good luck on your back to back fasting days!
Morning all, and good night to others. I'm in for my fast today. Sad to say, I am putting on weight since I stopped fasting twice a week. I am now up to 75kg which is at least 5 kg heavier than I want to be. I did get down to 69 once since starting 5:2, but mostly I've drifted around 70. So what to do? I'll have another good fast today. I'll go out in the afternoon so that I'm not tempted by the offerings of the kitchen. I'll try to ride the waves of hunger. I don't have to do anything about them, just feel them, allow them. let them go. Tonight's dinner is a Chinese soup. I have some duck stock, some cold roast duck, snow peas, baby spinach and some noodles. My walking regime is going well. I am meeting with the neighbours and their baby and dogs and we are walking around the block at 8am every morning. It's great. One of us texts the others when they are leaving . It's a good block as it has a hill in it. So much easier to get out there with others. Have a good day everyone.

Im fasting today too.. Oh that number 69, @Sallyo.. how I strived for that 2 Christmases ago and it was the initial challenge group title in the forum I seem to recall. I never made it as an average weight and frankly, I have 72 or 73 as my goal at the moment.

Yes we all need to step up when things get out of hand in the scale department. All the best in fasting.

For me, will not eat till this evening.
Well i guess you ozzies will be nearing the end of yr fast...mine is still to commence..its the middle of the night and ive given up on trying to sleep :(
My DD told me something interesting..a fasting friend went to the dentist, who asked, did she fast...apparently the dentist can tell which patients are fasters..coz they have less plaque! Another benefit of IF then! X :like:
@sallyo I'll try to ride the waves of hunger. I don't have to do anything about them, just feel them, allow them. let them go. ..i love this x will remember yr wise words x
Also loved hearing about the walks x
Fasting on Monday as well (although it's only 11 pm on Sunday here at the moment). I feel bloated and gross from some routine hormonal flux today, so thank goodness for 500 calories tomorrow!

Good luck to all!

:)
@CandiceMarie. NO! The fast is by no means in the bag! It is now 2pm here - daylight saving time - and I am getting to the Ravenous Stage! About to go out to Devonport to remove myself from the kitchen. Some people can just say 'the kitchen is closed' but I need to go 20 kms away. You ride those waves, girl!
@ Sallyo Lucky you... You have walking partners. Wish I did too. Makes it more fun and motivating.
@ CandiceMarie As Sallyo said, fasting still isn't over, Downunder. It's nearly two in the arvo and I think I'm about to gnaw off my own leg. I try to push it as far as I can tolerate it, but normally, I cave in at around 5:00pm (which is a few hours shy of 24 hours).
Didn't go for a walk today... Bummer! :frown: Weather was just too iffy this morning, so I opted to clean out my workshop and toss out a lot of rubbish. I think I must've shifted around over 200kg of timber. My version of paleo fitness!
I'm looking forward to my fast today  Work and then an AGM till 9pm.
@CandiceMarie sorry to hear sleep was escaping you, I hope you are tucked up in zed now. :sleepy:
Good luck to all fasters, may it be a good one. :clover:
