I'm in today, have been on my morning run already, not eating till this evening. Don't think I over ate through the week but am feeling like I have gained, it my have something to do with the random period that decided to turn up over the weekend (sorry if tmi) I haven't had one for over 2 years as I have an implant so not sure if it's due to weight loss, exercise or just the implant getting old...anyway it sucks!
Hiya, going to have a real go at this again in October after a few sporadic September fasts. A long day at work today and then choir practice in the evening so should keep me occupied! Have woken up really hungry though so could be a slog!

Good luck everyone :clover:
Monday, so one of my 4:3...

If it's Monday, I must be fasting
If it's Tuesday, it's a non-fast day
If it's Wednesday, it's [work in progress] :)

:clover: to today's fasters.
I'm in today but not sure how long I'll last. Not sure if I should be fasting as I'm really not feeling it and don't want to force it. Already been out for an hour on the bike and I'll be off out again shortly for another hour, then again at 2:30 to meet DD. Think that will be about 12/13 miles. I'll see how I go on todays fast but no guarantee it'll be a full fast, I'm taking it an hour at a time just now. Welcome to all the newbies, good luck. Hellooo @Bobshouse!!! ((**waves**)) Hope you're well hun :) @Karenm, buddy are you in today? :) good luck all :clover:
Happy fasting day - lets hope its a good one.
X
Hello, I'm in too, fizzy water to hand. Busy day at work that will keep me focused and on track. Veggie stew for dinner. Happy fasting everyone.
Hi everyone! First post on the actual Fast day. A week in - Start weight 143lbs, weight yesterday 139 but weight today back to 141?! Should I be weighing myself everyday or just once a week?
Also, I read you can have a 'splash' of milk in coffee but I'm worried about the calories. I can't take it black though so allowed myself one white coffee and will count.
Feeling ok so far and aiming for first food at 3pm - maybe a boiled egg or porridge with water. Then chicken for dinner. Have a good one folks. x
Hi all

I am in today as well. Couldn't fast last week as I was suffering with a bad cold and needed lots of hot drinks.

Actually looking forward to it as it feels like forever since my last fast.

Good luck to all.
I'm in and just finished dinner. This is my first decent fast in a week. School holidays seem to have upset my routine. I feel it too. My body feels different and not in a good way, even though I haven't been eating unhealthy foods. Fast days are a relief.
I'm in. Was a bit lacking in energy at the gym this morning, could be that big roast dinner yesterday still sitting heavy on me!
Fizzy water & tea to hand. A salad at 2pm, then I have to decide whether to have my soup before going out tonight or wait until I get back. I'm giving a talk, so can't afford to look like I'm wilting from hunger. Decisions!
Wishing everyone a positive fast day :clover:
Hi @MsRuby and welcome! :)

Re your qn about weighing. There are different schools of thought on how often or even whether to weigh! Weight can vary quite significantly day to day due to water retention and body waste. If you weigh every day, you need to be mindful of this. What is useful to do, if you daily weigh, is to average your weight over 7 days - the weight for any given day is then the average of that day, the 3 before and the 3 after. Some of the apps do this for you, you can find reference to these in this forum - I just do it in Excel.

Many just weigh once a week, trying to ensure that they weigh in the same circumstances each week. I did this while losing weight, and it worked well for me. I only started daily weighing once maintaining.

Others weigh less frequently, and judge by how clothes fit and how they look/feel how they are going.

Re milk in coffee/tea - a splash of milk once or twice a day won't make much difference to your calories, but if you have more than this and you are concerned about it, then you can calculate how many cals if you measure the amount of milk you add, and then allow for that in your total count. There has been discussion on this elsewhere - you could search for it. But if you can find some clear non-sweetened drinks that you like, these may be better for fast days.

Best wishes as you continue on this journey. :)
Hi all,
I am new to the site, but fasting also today then again Thursday. I am only drinking herbal tea till dinner, I find it easier not to eat anything but drink loads. Just been out for a 45 minute walk, not feeling too bad. It's my 3rd week. I think I will weigh next week. I am a bit scared to weigh if I am honest.
I hope the day goes well for all of us fasters.
It's a Monday fast day for me too! Busy day today so that will help.
Just had a weekend away- need to repair the damage!
