Here begins the first Monday fasting thread for February, 2015. I'm in. Just about to have my black coffee. It's fish for dinner. I'm trying out Hugh Furnley Wittingstall recipes from his book Fruit. So I think it's fish with peaches, which we have falling off the tree today. Lots of lovely salad veg now too. Even tomatoes. First time in all my experience of gardening in Tasmania to have ripe tomatoes this early. I love it. Day is grey. I'm off to yoga today for the first time this year. Have a good fast everyone.
Hi Sally! I am with you today. :) I am now in Adealide for 10 days. It's a bit trickier fasting here, but I need to after my sugary carb indulgences yesterday...!!! :(
Hope yoga was/is 'rewarding'; I am just finishing a cuppa (tea) then off for the morning walk, a little later than usual, but no dogs to pester me here!
Best wishes to fellow fasters :clover:
I'm in today!
I've been awful over the weekend! So in need of a fast today. Stayed up to watch the tennis last night and so am tired too, always makes fasting more difficult.
But I will power through!
Have a great fast all!!!!!
Hiii Monday peeps!
It's still Sunday here but i' m in for a big fast n repair day when i get up tomoz!
Lets all have a grrrrreat day!Image
Good morning everybody
Grey and overcast here in Melbourne as well. Where is Summer?
Thanks for starting us today @Sallyo - lucky you having an abundance of peaches and tomatoes - that dish sounds delicious.
I really need to complete this Fast today, I have been overloading and having a great big carb fest since I have come home from Adelaide, emotional eating I think.

Anyway, today is a new day! :like: Evening meal will be poached eggs on a bed of spinach and mushrooms.
Trust you enjoy your time in Adelaide @Sassy1.

cheers
Maggie
I'm in today after a super indulgent weekend. Looking forward to the clean feeling I will have by the end of the day. Off to a Chi-ball class this evening in a local school hall - will be interesting. Have used a chi ball a bit in Pilates but not sure about a whole class of it? Anyone got any experience?
I'm in also.
I really have to pull up my socks and fast again in earnest.I haven't lost anything in the past year so I'm starting again and counting my calories on my non fast days as that is where my problem is.Wish me luck .

Good Morning, lots of people here already  Im fasting until dinner time, its hubbys birthday so dinner wont be low calorie and there will wine and dessert involved. Lets call it an eating window today.
Happy Fasting my fasting buddies.
Oh and @Sallyo I have that cook book too. I must get it out and have another look at the recipes.
I'm in too, been for a morning jog in the rain and hope that revs up the fat burning. I have no idea what a chi ball is @Pilch - how big is it? If its anything like the balls we use in barre class it will just make "cheating" a bit harder. Having fantasies about cream doughnuts already, this might be a long day ...
I'm several hours into the Sunday part of my regular 4:3 Monday fast. :) However, my lower back is being horrible and if it continues like this during the night, this may be a very rough Monday. We'll see.

Good Luck to my fellow Monday fasters :) :clover:
Hi everyone i'm in. Chicken and vege soup from the freezer at 7 pm and home made clear chicken broth around 4-5 pm if I can't wait till dinner. Good luck everyone!!!
Xxx Julianna.
PS - Happy Birthday Mr Wineoclock :present: :cake:
Back home from yoga, only the time table has changed and they don't do a class on Monday anymore. I'll have to go on Tuesdays instead. My dinner recipe is actually fish parcels in RHUBARB not peaches, @Wineoclock - although I think there's a pork chop and peaches recipe I'm going to try on a non fast day. I have this pledge not to buy any new cook books in 2015 which is very challenging for me who loves new cookbooks, but I have to really explore the books I have now. Enjoy Adelaide @Sassy1 and have a successful fast @carmelk46. Now I have to make a fruit cake as we have a painter starting work on the roof today and I'd like to be able to supply afternoon tea. I think I can do it, but I can't promise not to lick the spoon.
Hiya all!

I'm in with you today - my scales this morning said I was at the top of my maintenance band, so I'll do a mini fast to get back on track. Similar to Wineoclock - It'll have to be a mini fast, cause I have a birthday BBQ tonight for family visiting from the UK...and I can't keep myself to 500cal on a birthday BBQ!

So coffee, green tea and water only until then

May the fast be with you all!
Morning all.
I'm in today too, although we have a bbq tonight for all the people leaving the project
So, fasting all day and then a small amount of protein tonight is the cunning plan.
Sallyo, I get so jeaous when I hear about all your wonderful produce there, I can't wait to go home and resurrect out orchard and gigantic veggie patch!

I was planning to have spaghetti bolognaise (with proper pasta) tonight but today will have to be my second fast within one week. I'll have the sauce with zucchini instead.

I often skip breakfast, and sometimes lunch as well on a Monday, but now that I am fasting I suddenly can't stop thinking about food.
