Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.
I am in and after yesterdays carb fest the hunger pangs will no doubt come calling! Had crumpets with jam and lobster ravioli yesterday but it was totally delicious!!
Right 13 hours until dinner. Best get busy!! xxx
So I'm planning a series of 16:8s and we'll see how it goes. I'm also at the tail end of a nasty cold so haven't had the energy for the gym.
Not sure if I'm going to hit my Xmas target after all, I've been holding at 11.7 / 11.8 the last 2 weeks so I'll see what the scales say tomoz but won't beat myself up about it.
Yesterday I had a mad craving for chocolate, so ate a big brownie, then couldn't be bothered to cook so we had an Indian takeaway... oh dear
Good luck everyone who's fasting today!
Well this may be my last fast now before Christmas as we collect our son from Uni at the weekend and have various 'get togethers' next week, so I might just enjoy all that.
My tummy is growling at present possibly caused by having a lovely Xmas meal with friends last night (3 courses with nice wine... Delicious!) I was pleasantly surprised when someone commented that I looked 'well' and they thought I looked slimmer! (I muttered something about wearing dark colours making us all appear trimmer!) - I haven't wanted to make a big thing about my trying to loose weight.
Anyway, good luck all you Thursday fasters, have a good day!
(And just for the record, like SallyO, I prefer to keep busy on fast days, which usually means getting out of the house for me too!)
Well done @Maggiee on the walk + fast
Good Luck to all fasting today Sue
However, now I'm here, hi everyone and stick with it. I usually have my WA-days ("wheelchair avoidance days", which is what I call my lean days) on Mondays and Fridays, but events this week have caused a shift to Tuesday and Thursday. Going OK so far - the thought of an extra feast day instead of the usual two day weekend gap between Friday and Monday WA-days will help to carry me through.
I haven't eaten yet today. I have the usual WA-day bag of raw veggies in my desk drawer ready when needed.
Well, back to work!
cheers, kl
I just started a new life as a nursing student and I found cycling out to uni, the cold weather and all the changes I have made seemed to take over and I couldn't deal with what I call "diet days".
I don't seem to have put much weight on luckily and after tomorrow I have a 3 week break from studies and ward duties. SO I felt I could restart 5-2 while I feel able to.
I am looking forward to feeling bouncy and bright eyed tomorrow morning! It feels good to be back
I am predictably ravenous as it is quiet at work Have eaten a packet of mini raisins for 40kcal and had a cuppa. Feel a teeny bit nauseous and hoping this will settle.
My evening surgery starts again at 5pm so this will distract me until 6.30. Then I have a meeting until 7.30 but after this some salmon and salad.
Anyone else suffering? Anyone at all?!
