Good morning all, I'm in today. I'm normally a Friday girl but have changed to today because of plans tomorrow. I'm really not feeling it but it needs doing. It's also weigh in day today and I've lost 1.2lbs this week. not a great loss for week 2 but if I'm being true to myself, I didn't stick within my TDEE this past week. :( must try harder. Wish me luck today as I'm already feeling hungry :( I keep telling myself how pleased I'll be at the end of the day. Have a good fastday everyone

I'm in today too. Been a fab day here and then just as the work day finished, the sky clouded up and had the most awesome thunder storm and rain showers passing thru. Took my mind off the hunger anyway!
Good luck to fellow fasters, nearly bedtime for me. Hoping the scales move off their stubborn reading where have remained for the past 3 weeks as it's weigh day tomorrow! Aaaaargh! Never mind, think my shape is changing anyway!
I'm in. Coffe and a glass of fiber til this afternoon. Can't wait til it is tomorrow;)
Hi all

I'm not fasting today but it feels like so long since I@ve been on here that I thought I'd come on and say hello. I've had a really busy week or so where I've needed to be really on top of my game, and also had a few social events, so I haven't fasted for over a week and probably won't until next Monday. I don't mind though, as I think I was getting fasting fatigue and was starting to get obsessive, so this last couple of weeks has given me the opportunity to eat what I want, when I want it and think about something else for a change i.e. work!!! And lo and behold I weighed myself yesterday for the first time in a week and no weight gained, so can't complain about that.

Now I can't hang around too long, there's a food festival going on in town that needs my urgent attention...
I'm in today. Didn't go to the gym this morning though as I had too much to drink last night and felt groggy when I got up. :frown:

It's going to be a long day today as I'm teaching an evening class. I'm now about to pour my first sparkling water with ginger & lemongrass cordial ...

This is weird. Woke up today after yesterday's fast and didn't feel hungry at all - so might do a partial fast today. As I started at 7pm on Tuesday I might let myself off and cave in at 7pm tonight. So far I have fasted on Friday, Monday and Wednesday. I feel good on it, though - yesterday felt grumpy but feel genial today. Enjoy your fast everyone! :smile:

Update: 3.48 pm. Crash & Burn! A plateful of spicy chips with tom ketchup on the side. Still - think of the lycopene...

I'm in today...and doing it really properly, cos the last few weeks have been a bit slapdash and I'm fed up with the scales not moving down. So I'm throwing my day over to fasting and trying to make total abstemiousness a positive rather than negative experience. I've had a morning bath with face mask and scented candles and am working on my coma-inducing (and biscuit-heavy) spreadsheets in bed, well away from the kitchen. Absolutely nothing solid will pass my lips until 8.30 tonight. I am allowing myself 5 cups of tea / coffee with 20mls milk and copious amounts of jasmine flower tea. Bring it on!!!
I'm checking in rather late today but I've finished my cals for the day and will head off to bed soonish.
I'd been away at the beach with my DD for 3 days and was feeling very reluctant to fast, but tricked myself with a piece of toast and a scrape of honey for brekky,and 2 coffees with no fat soy milk.
I didn't eat any more till dinner, and that's my 400 cals done!
Roll on tomorrow.
Hi everyone

We are fasting today as well. 2nd and final fast for this week.

Walked the dog again this morning, so that's 2 walks this week. :victory: Trying to build it up gradually so that my arthritis hopefully doesn't play up too much. Weather changing here and my hands and other joints are killing me. :cry:

Anyway enough whinging.

I am fasting too but having been to gym this morning I feel rather hungry so filling up on sparkling water and trying not to think about dinner too much!! I also fast on Mondays which I generally find really easy...in fact I look forward to Mondays, but Thursdays are a bit more tricky so hence I am on the forum looking for inspiration....
We have a big party this weekend so I know I have no option if I am going to really enjoy my weekend of far too much of everything....good luck to all of you today, we can do it!!!!! :like:

Its going slow for me today, I seem to be checking the clock more often! Looking forward to having food tomorrow, I did 16/8 yesterday and last meal at 7pm. I've been filling up on black coffee so will probably take me ages to get to sleep. Hay ho
I've fasted today, and my DH too, nearly 11.30pm here and I just realised I had not checked in. Had a busy day so it went well, wet and cold though, we may have snow on Mount Wellington in the morning.

Off to bed now and I can eat tomorrow. :wink:
