@britney I've wanted to do a LOF too, I assume it's easier not to eat, so as not to wake the hunger monster IYSWIM.

But I've always failed. May try today with you.... So good luck, will let you know if I manage it

I'm off to gym now (I can't eat there at least) good luck to us all today
Morning all, I'm with you for my usual Thursday.
Smoked turkey sounds delicious SallyO, does it take long to do?
Wishing you folks a good Thursday.
We 'Thursday Fasters' are thin on the ground today, aren't we? I am aiming for a reduced calorie day rather than a full fast because our grandchildren have been promised cake after school at one of the best bakeries in the town. I will decide then whether to have cake, or not. We have already been in there three times, since we arrived last week, and I haven't yet had any cake. I never thought that I would be able to say that!
Good luck to all of us fasting today. Stay strong! Onwards and downwards!

I'm not feeling very thin today!

I'm in today too! Feeling a bit sluggish after yesterday's mahoosive helping of delish cauliflower cheese with crunchy cheesy topping.
StowgateResident If you resist the cakes later on, you will deserve a gold star!

Just as well I'm in today.....as I had a bit of an episode with a lot of cake last night!

I suppose it is fatal really to bake anything whilst trying to watch what you eat. My youngest has a netball tournament this afternoon & I offered to make some flapjacks for it. Then I worried that not all the children would like flapjack......so I also made a chocolate & vanilla tray bake, which I then covered in chocolate buttercream & pretty sprinkles. Sadly, it was a little too large to fit in the cake box.............so I reduced it by cutting both edges off to make it squarer........

I know you all know what must've happened to the edges! By golly, they were delish & it has to be said that yesterday was not a fast day.......but even I know that I went seriously OTT!

Suppose I deserve to wake up famished this morning! Must toddle off & put the kettle on.....
Guess I will have to spend the day remembering how jolly lovely the cake was....plus looking forward to tomorrow when I'll be out for lunch at my favourite pub, celebrating a friend's birthday, num num!

There's always my soup to look forward to later as well, so it's not all bad!

Good luck my fellow Thursday fasters xx

Hi, I'm in, I was uncertain on the way in whether I felt up to it and was contemplating delaying until tomorrow, but feeling OK now and hitting the coffee and sparkling water.

Good luck to all.
@Hazelnut20, everyone knows that cake off-cuts, like broken biscuits and food from other people's plates, don't contain any calories, so you will be fine!
Fast day for me too today! My day's going to consist of making soups and relaxing with a book! :D so far have had a cuppa tea and was forced to have a sip of apple juice by sofia, lol, she's gone to mums today so got the house to myself!
I'm in today, my second fast of the week.
Just liquids till my Prawn salad dinner. I'm planning to spend some time pottering in the greenhouse, it's less easy to pick at food when you have mucky fingers
I'm in today. I normally eat breakfast, but I think I might not today, mostly because my stomach hasn't felt that great this week and isn't this morning. Maybe it needs to be empty for a bit. I am a little concerned since I'm supposed to train later for my C25K, so maybe I'll bring a yogurt or something with me just in case!
@chocobunny oh no, I hope it's not as hard as you say! If I'm honest I have brought some raw carrots into work for in case I get really hungry. Plus I'm going for a run tonight and am always hungry after exercise, so not sure how it's going to go. It's only 10.50am and I have a rumbling tummy already! Anyway let me know how you get on. Good luck! :peace:
Smoked turkey with mesclun, goat 's cheese and roasted walnuts: found a recipe on the web. Very appropriate and very delicious. And I felt it was ok to have a small helping of berry cobbler with a small serve of cream. That may have been pushing it, but it needed eating up! No calories in that, I assume. Day nearly done. No chocolate or seseme wheat biscuits were consumed, so I have a feeling of success!
Hi,
I'm in today, just late getting it posted. I'm planning chicken Italian sauage & Asian chopped salad for dinner, nothing the rest of the day. After the tough time I had Monday, I'm very determined today will go well. Coffee this morning & water/tea until dinner. Good luck today, all.

@Sallyo I would use a mixed bed of greens, celery, beets (roasted, not pickled), diced apples, & a champaign vinaigrette. On a non fast day I'd add some candied pecans &dried cranberries. I see I posted after your dinner, time difference! :( Left overs? Your recipe sounds delish!
Hats off to you @britney I couldn't exercise in the evening, I need to get it out the way first thing so I can bask in my halo glow the rest of the day,

I'm not saying its impossible just I'm too greedy I think!

Hope your staying with it, I have for now, just about to have a bovril as I have the post gym hunger now, that should help.

How does everyone cope with the post exercise hunger on a FD?
Hello everyone! I'm in with the hubs and @Chocobunny today! Feeling a bit dodgy at the moment. Sometimes it is hard being a girl, isn't it? Ugh. Anywho, it is coffee and water until dinner for me (that is my goal at any rate). Good luck to us all! :clover:
