OMG Toblerone cocktail! My friend gave me a huge (u know the ones that look about a metre long ;>) Toblerone when she came back from France. I ate so much Toblerone that week, I (luckily) feel sick @ the thought of it! Fast going well today, had my soup and not hungry for about 6 hours after that. Carrying an apple for emergencies, but almost home and will have an 8 cal hot choc, b4 walking the wee beasts on the beach. Weather has been spectacular and tomorrow will be amazing, but I think we are going to get your rain soon Sallyo...nice bath and a friend (hubby?) to give u a massage...yum that would be nice :>)

It's useful and inspiring to hear how all of us are happy to change our ways of feeding, albeit, some of us, eg me, a bit slowwwwllllyyyy.

I agree that social life that's centred on food is a BIG challenge....I've got pizza and vino on offer tonight. Lucky I skipped dinner last night to start the fast day off.

Reading about all of us becoming more lithe and spirited and active, that's great. The long term wish can trump the short term grab.

Hunger pangs are easily distracted aren't they? OK, that is, most of the time....
Made it til 1pm before breaking my fast, at least it can now be 16:8, trying to find a positive in failing!!

I bought a Toblerone today to make Toblerone Mousse on the weekend, come on weekend!!
Sounds like most people are having a good fast today. All good here. 2.5 hours until my tofu, veggie and zero noodle stir fry, not that I'm counting down :lol:
And what happened to the weather, overcast and not real warm here.
Fasting again today!
Still all bunged up and on annual leave today so going to be a hard one! Had at least seven pieces of toast and 2 slices of gingerbread yesterday, my body was carb-crazy!!
Going to stick with the same plan as Tuesdays fast - liquids all day includng many low cal soups rather than one meal at 5pm. Hopefully will help shed this virus and continue with the weight loss plan!!
Going to a wedding on Sat and have just bought myself a new dress.The size 10 fitted :victory: but only looked nice when I was breathing in so I bought the 12 and will allow myself to eat the delicious canapes and enjoy the champagne!! :grin:

I'm checking in from a lovely sunny day in Birmingham, UK :grin: Fasts seem so much easier when the sun is shining !

Off to my Zumba class tonight so have decided its mint tea/black coffee all day with cucumber, tomato, 3 rice cakes, boiled egg before I go at around 4.30 pm and then a piece of fruit when I return from the class at 9.15 pm.

You're all going to hate me as I don't really like chocolate- all this Toblerone talk does nothing for me and definitely doesn't make fasting harder :-)

Anyway, I'm on a skinny day here. As usual, breakfast is 1.5 litres of black coffee (this is a daily thing for me). I've not planned any meals yet but I rarely eat breakfast anyway so won't eat until about 3pm for my "breakfast".

I didn't sleep well last night and have woken very tired and headachey. And I have a very busy working day ahead. I just hope I'll get through the fast without getting too grumpy. Especially as I have a ciabatta loaf in the kitchen...
another non Toblerone fan. It's the honey- icky sticky stuff only fit for heffalumps and woozles!
I started with very good intentions but despite my usual coffee and nothing different, I have the beginnings of a migraine. I'l take paracetamol and have lunch- a fairly carb heavy one at that. So that'll be 2 full fasts, a 16:8 today and a proper fast tomorrow.
This is the first time in nearly a year that I've changed my mind mid fast. And that is OK!

Me too - second fast so far, did my first on Tuesday! Had a banana for breakfast, then got homemade tomato soup for dinner and fish with veg for tea.
second fast of the week for me - not feeling it today

I have Thai mussels and a pitta bread for dinner tonight which will be 254 calories in total - not sure whether to have a light lunch or whether that will just get me munching

I am hungry already though and its only 9.21am in UK :(
Hi friends : ). Finding today's fast day soooooooo hard. :cry: Not sure why. :?: Maybe because I've been 16:8 ing every weekday as well? Not sure. Was starving when I woke up but was proud that I held off till 1.20pm(exactly!) to have some vege soup. Then I was soooooo happy. :like: Went and got my tax done then was hungry again (damn hunger switch) so I caved and ate 3 steamed prawn dumplings an an hour later a crab stick. And I fully intend to have my wanton vege soup tonight! Who is this person? I'm usually so strong and determined ( probably because I find fast days so easy now) obviously I'm telling myself to stop being so cocky about it being easy- sometimes it's hard. Anyhoo- I've probably only gone around 200 calories over so I'm fine with that. Thanks for listening .xxx :clover: :heart:
I'm in again today. Not feeling great (again) think I'm fighting a stupid summer cold. But will persevere. I've had great weigh ins all week so feeling good about that and would be stupid to sabotage myself at this stage. Busy at work, on my feet all day so should make the day fly

Janeg, I feel your headache-will-become-a-migraine pain! :doh: I've had to turn today's fast into a 16:8 day - the nurofen didn't touch the headache - only solution was some food. Not sure why it appeared in the first place though - maybe hormones :confused: Now I really want to sleep. :sleepy: :sleepy: Got some work I need to first ... :frown:
